Barbara Ellen of The Guardian has done a mini-review of Demi's book, and I have to say, this rings a bell: "I love how Demi Moore is being such a nightmare ex, slinging around revelations in her new memoir, Inside Out, especially all the stuff about her eight-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher. Maybe I’m enjoying it a bit too much, chiefly because when Moore and Kutcher split up there seemed to be just the slightest waft of condescension coming off him about how erratically the heartbroken Moore was behaving. I could be wrong (oh yes), but I just sensed an attitude that got a little too close to “Poor Demi. I’m still here for her. Even though she’s acting crazy, and everyone must agree that I’m totally right to leave her, right?”

Christ what is that, surely not a procedure and just weird make up thing.... it’s like fish hooks have pulled her mouth or something..geezus!

I did too! I gasped. She doesn’t look human. I’m not against plastic surgery at all but damn!! I don’t understand what this procedure is.

Oh my Lord. She looks like a completely different person. I would have never in 1 million years identified the woman in that picture as Demi Moore.

I, too, am perplexed by what's going on here. Did she have some sort of thread lift to get the drawn look? That's as weird and startling as George Constanza suddenly wearing a full wig.

I hate the way society mocks middle aged women for plastic surgery, but this is WTFery.

I promised upthread I would give my review of Demi's book and I actually listened to it recently. She was very candid and I felt she did a very good job of making me understand what her childhood was like and why she's made certain decisions she's made in her life. She talked a lot in the book about her body issues as they relate to food and working out. I didn't realize she had such a severe eating disorder.

The big, giant, glaring omission in the book was plastic surgery. Not a word about it. And she made a point to address every significant rumor that's ever been out there about her. She talked about the press that surrounded her comeback in Charlie's Angels and ignored that the big story was how she'd come back from Hailey, Idaho with a full-body surgical makeover. And she never said anything directly about implants, but I realized after she mentioned something about breastfeeding that she's still maintaining the charade that those giant cantaloupes that were bolted onto her chest in the mid-90s were real and resulted from breastfeeding.

So what I'm taking from that is that Demi is not ready to talk about her obvious issues with plastic surgery because those issues are still ongoing. Her face is telling the story for her though.
