Of course we all have different tastes, and thats a great thing. But I don't think we can pretend that the media doesn't play a huge role in how the public perceives celebs. Actually, she became a celeb well before she was BW's gal -- she was a brat packer who, IIRC, dated another brat packer (Emilio Estevez?). Also she got her start on General Hospital. Plus, she was cross-eyed until she had surgery. Not that I'm ragging on her about that; I'm just saying....

She's never impressed me either with her acting (she was h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e on GH) or with her looks. She's always been a famewhore who gave out way TMI on her personal life (remember the VF naked & pregnant cover).
