I think it was from Amazon. It was an immediate shift from one car to the other, and neither were cigarette lighters, both were outlet only. Yeah, I've seen this when I was front of the house mobile support with chords and chargers (and in my own experience)--it wasn't the car, it probably was the removable charging port itself. If it had been in place for while, taking it out could have split something in the system (like when you move those between cars that can be an issue), or if it was older than say 6-12 months? Then it may have just been a issue with the device. It sits in place for a while, suddenly there's a shift, and this cheap bobble will just break or age. Similarly, I've had iPhone charging chords work great on Monday morning, then Monday afternoon they take some "jiggling" , then in a week--you need a new one. A lot of these companies build these things to be cheap and so they don't work for very long. It's ridiculous actually how much they charge for cables and plugs but ALSO how easily they stop working. It produces a lot of waste, and people spend a lot of money they shouldn't need to!

The lightning jack is the single worst "innovation" in Apple history.

I'm thinking of starting an Acorn subscription. Is it worth it?

I'm thinking of starting an Acorn subscription. Is it worth it? I have one, and have managed to set in about 3000 so far (since August) which has been great.

I mostly want it for Midsomer Murders, Netflix takes forever to get the seasons. Some of the other shows look interesting as well.

The lightning jack is the single worst "innovation" in Apple history. Completely agree. Apple keeps pushing me further and further away.

I'm thinking of starting an Acorn subscription. Is it worth it? It is 100% worth it. So many great mysteries and interesting European shows too, not just UK. If you like Scandinavian shows, I will put in another plug for Black Widows, it’s not noir, just right for summer time. The first season is much better than the second, but you’ll still enjoy watching to see how things turn out. Rebecka Martinsson is wonderful too- noir. On the Brit side, there’s the fun cozy Agatha Raisin, and a darker one I don’t think we’ve mentioned, Single Handed, set on the Irish coast. Gorgeous and very rich performances. There’s tons and tons of great stuff. The only problem I have with Acorn is that I feel like it judges me when I’m bingeing- it tends to freeze up a bit.

Unfortunately neither of my dvd/PS3 players have the app for it. I don't want to watch it on my phone or computer so I'd have to get one of those Roku or Firestick things. sigh...

I'm in the market for a fitness watch and I'm not sure which way to turn. First, I have an analog watch I wear so this whole sports watch thing seems a bit extra, but that's a different problem. Anyway, in no particular order, I would like to spend less than $300, not have a peripheral heart rate chest band, something that can tell me a variety of information about speed and and distance, and something I can use for running and cycling.
I'm looking at the Fitbit Versa, Garmin Forerunner 235 and maybe the Apple Watch; for context, I'd probably have to order anything online because my town has a barebones Best Buy and nothing like an REI or even a running store. There is an Academy sports, but I've never had a good shopping experience there so I don't know if they even carry sports watches.
