Softcore might be an exaggeration. "Exploitation film" might be more accurate. It's sort of a pseudo-documentary as an excuse to include nudity. A bygone genre from a more repressed age....

I reject all iPhones with no headphone jack. I got an SE. But I am a Luddite. Reading the last couple pages of this thread, I feel like this is a good opportunity for me to get something off my chest: I hate my iphone. It seems like I discover something else I hate about it everyday and another annoyance just popped up today. It is an iphone 7 plus, it was a christmas gift two years ago, I made a big deal out of appreciating it and the same person who gave it to me is threatening to upgrade me to one of the new iphones. It is driving me crazy because the only way I'll be able to talk them out of it is by telling them how much I hate this very expensive nuisance.

They won't listen to a rationale conversation about e-waste and how lovely it would be if they would spend the same amount of money on shoes, a portrait of your pet, or an amazing dinner? Then take the phone and trade it in, get the credit, and when they pout remind them they were warned.

The thing is the original gifting was a total surprise. It wasn't from my SO or a family member. I had kinda gotten to the point where I considered my lower mid-range android a certain type of status symbol and was playfully self-effacing about having one. Meanwhile, one of my only real talents is being a good gift-giver. People who know me claim that they feel like they don't do a good job reciprocating gifts. So, the iPhone was like the culmination of reciprocating a few years worth of gifts. I did appreciate it, but for me, the most important thing was being effusive in my appreciation and letting my friend know that it was an appreciated gift. This person had actually started fishing around for info on how much I liked my then-current phone and trying to steer me away from buying a new phone as early as sept of that year. Of course, I didn't realize what they were doing at the time, but I spoke to this person just a few days ago and they are going through the same motions. I told them that the recent IOS update that was released last week seemed to cause problems with a few of the apps I use. Their response was "You should just try to hang on to it. A lot of times, it'll take them a few months to work out all the little bugs in the updates."
I feel like this post is wildly insane and barely on topic already, so I won't go into the specifics of our gift exchange history (it's kind of complicated). I will say that the awkward part for me has more to do with the fact that to talk them out of buying me a new iphone, I have to admit that I only appreciated the gift as a thought, which would probably be disappointing for them.
Obviously, this is a problem with multiple solutions that any semi-functional adult human woman should be able to figure out and I was admittedly being overdramatic. I was just venting after discovering ANOTHER problem with this phone that is supposed to be so intuitive and easy-to-use and brilliantly designed.

My non for profit support group has a godaddy website. We use it just for information purposes, there are 5 tab pages, max, to let people searching for us to let them know who we are, how to get in touch with us, and where we are meeting that month (it rotates). How hard is it to change it to a wix site? Or to any free site?

I've used weebly ages ago, and I think you'd have to basically rebuild it in their platform (or another one). I don't know that you can just shift it as is to a free hosting site. I think they usually have a proprietary platform that you build it in. That said, if it's a pretty basic site, it shouldn't take too long to recreate.

I can rebuild as long as it’s a drop and drag and there’s no coding involved. The biggest thing seems to be moving my domain. Not to sound like Denzel in Philadelphia, but could you explain it like I’m a 6 year old? (A 6 year old could probably just do it!). Is the domain the web address?

Yes, and usually to move that and have your website Jane it’s own domain, like www.mydomain.com, you have to pay for that. The free sites usually give you one of their domains, something like www.weebly. My domain.com. I’d look into a few to see what their costs are to have your own domain. It may be the same price as staying where you are.

I told them that the recent IOS update that was released last week seemed to cause problems with a few of the apps I use. Their response was "You should just try to hang on to it. A lot of times, it'll take them a few months to work out all the little bugs in the updates." Sorry to go back to this, but over the past couple of days, I've seen about 3 or 4 posts on instagram where people have complained about how the recent update made their phones glitchy. Is anyone else experiencing this? Also, is this something that actually is common with ios devices? I am the queen of not updating anything because y'all shoulda made it how it was supposed to be when it came out of the box. Honestly, I rarely update anything and the way my phone has been working for the last week or two makes me hesitant to ever update anything in the future. eta chitowngirl , ladyboy's posts mostly have it covered, but just for backup reference, from what you said it sounds like you already own your own domain. If you want to use your own .com (or whatever) domain, most of the free sites will require you to have a service plan either with them or some other company and then point that to their free site. But there are some companies like hostgator that are really cheap, like $3/4 a month. They also walk you through transferring your domain.
