Jeans, battered Chuck Taylors, soft moss green sweater, grey tee. Usual scruffy grad-student outfit, significant only because I had to peg-roll my jeans, due to some cuff issues. And it's muddy and wet outside. Oh, and Elvis earrings.

I just found my beloved Justin Roper cowboy boots this weekend, so I haven't taken them off in days. I also have on a pale pink thermal undershirt, burgundy striped sundress over it, and dark jeans. I am also wearing super bright rainbow colored knee socks, but they kind of don't count since nobody can see them.

White blouse, but instead of buttons it zips and is a deep v neck, French cuffs and the bodice is paneled so it is sort of corset-like with wide leg jeans, pointy Coach mules that are the black and grey logo pattern, tanzanite necklace and earrings, puffy white jacket.

That sounds really cute. Since I posted, I might as well share.
I have on my $24 black boots from Target, $14 dark rinse boot cut jeans from Venue Williams collection at Steve and Barrys, a $4 long sleeve black v-neck tiny fit tee from Old Navy, my $9 grey sleeveless sweater from the Bitten collection at Steve and Barry's, a Nine West oversized black handbag with chains and studs that my bff gave me and a $10 retro black fur coat that I got from the Goodwill. I don't know what kind of fur, but the torn label says "Clean by fur method". The coat is fabulous and warm and I get tons of compliments when I wear it. I love the fact that I paid $61 for my entire outfit. Being frugal and looking good is very important to me.

I've decided to hit the town tonight, meet cute guys and get drunk! I'm wearing my banana republic jeans, tight black sweater and my 4 inch awesome red Nine West boots. Accessories are big silver hoops, silver bangles and a silver necklace.

I'm changed now, but I had an interview today, and the first words out of the interviewer's mouth was "I love your outfit!" I was pleased as well. It was a light grey shrunken suit jacket, bright yellow chiffon blouse that was tucked into a high waisted matching grey pencil skirt, with a wide silver snakeskin belt. I looked awesome, and didn't feel the need to say that I bought it all at JC Penney for a hundred bucks last night. I was shocked that JC Penney had something I would wear, and this was damn cute. I can't wait to wear the shirt and skirt without the jacket. Oh, and the shirt kind of puffed out about the high waist of the skirt, just so so cute.
ETA: Good luck, jettrink! I live for red shoes.

Don't you just love defying all of the magazines and fashion blogs that insist that you don't look good unless you spend at least $300 for an outfit? I mean really, $100 for a suit, blouse and accessories. And you looked so good, you probably got a job. Can't beat that.

zacandmax, what you just said is a reason I can't stand one of my boyfriend's aunts. She will only tell you the price of something when it is too expensive. When I pay too much for something, I don't tell a soul. The dress I got for 75 cents? Oh, everyone is hearing about that one! To keep it on topic, I'm currently wearing jeans I paid too much for with a old man style sweater from Old Navy I got for 14 dollars, and some three dollar flip-flops from Target. I feel like I should leave the house for a minute at some point and hit up a neighborhood bar, and if I do, I will change into some white low top Converse I got for free from a friend ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Oh, I'm all about the sale and when I find a good one, I shout it from the rooftops! I got a pair of knee high black 4 inch boots that were originally 175 bucks. They are Nine West and I got them on clearance at Marshalls for 25 bucks. I tell EVERYONE. My 2 favorite pair of Banana Republic jeans? Got them for 20 bucks each on sale. Why pay 150 bucks for jeans when you can wait a couple of months and get them for 20?
The red boots were a hit last night! Whoot! Tonight I'm going to see a band and I'm wearing my Banana skinny jeans (20 bucks) with those knee high boots (outside the jean) and a black dolman sleeve Michael Kors sweater I got for 25 bucks on sale at Lord and Taylor last year. 70 dollar outfit that should have cost about 400 bucks. Oh yeah baby!
