While I agree that Rob and Amber weren't doing anything wrong in having the local stay with them, I'd prefer for the show to not allow that kind of stuff in future races. It really does take some of the fun out of the show for me. I'd rather see them have to really work for it all. I don't have a problem with them asking locals for some direction and help with individual questions, but I don't like seeing locals going with them through the whole task.

It takes the fun out of the show for me too. I liked the whole "stranger in a strange land" you can sometimes get from the show, and you totally lose that when you've got a local tour guide.
Rob and Amber have made some smart moves, but I wish they didn't have their tour guides. I wouldn't be too upset if they win because they aren't disgusting, untolerable people, but I am really pulling for Joyce and Uchenna. They are good people and they could use the money. Rob and Amber already got theirs, PLUS CBS paid for their wedding and whatever they paid them to get the rights to air it on tv. Spread the wealth around a little.

The thing that really screws up my enjoyment of the show is the damn Yield. It is so stupid. It seems designed to foster conflict and resentment between teams and you don't really need to strive for that on The Amazing Race.
ETA: I am rooting for Rob and Amber but when I think about what the money would mean for Uchenna and Joyce, I sort of want them to win. I don't usually think that way about reality show contestants because the whole situation is so absurd. I mean, you don't deserve to come in first on a race around the world simply because you have less money than the other teams, but knowing what a difference it would make in their lives makes me want to root for them. However, I know that on Tuesday, though, I will be on the edge of my seat rooting for my precious Rob and Amber. I just can't help it.

I'll be rooting for Uchenna & Joyce to win it all, with Rob & Amber as my second choice. I don't dislike Ron, but Kelly annoys me too much to root for her team to win.

Man, Kelly sucks. Ron seems like an okay guy, and I can certainly understand his reluctance to make a commitment to Kelly - Hey! Maybe he'll arrange a kidnapping to avoid that commitment just like he became a POW to get out of the one he had to the army! Another one of those awesome "Hey, if they don't kill me, I can get out of this commitment!" deals that Ron likes to arrange for himself.
This show is great at finding those "pretty on the outside, ugly, self-centered and mean on the inside" type people.

I can't stand Rob and Amber; I want those two famewhores to go away. I still remember when Rob was in Survivor and he and his best friend Sean sat on the beach and talked about women, that the only thing a woman could do for them was cook their dinner. Yuk, what a useless tool.

I have a friend who knows the woman Rob was dating when he first appeared on Survivor. I wonder how she felt about that comment? Also, Rob apparently let the fame go to his head and, thinking he was up for bigger and better things because of his appearance on Survivor dumped her when he got home. He has definitely indulged in toolish behavior in the past.
And yet, I still like him and root for him. He must have some sort of hypnotic powers or something because he isn't that cute.

Man, I am having a great week! I guessed the killer on Veronica Mars correctly and my favorite team won the race!
