The 400th episode is on tonight. I only saw a few minutes but taped the whole thing. 24 parody, woo-hoo! From what I saw, they really seemed to have gotten it down to absolutely every little detail about the show!

Boring and irritating with those stupid split screens.

Yeah, I don't watch 24 and I thought the episode was subpar, and the one after it was even worse. This does not, however, temper my excitement for the movie.

Really? 'Cuz I have never watched 24, but I enjoyed it. My daughter the dental hygienist really loved the second ep with the dentist and Luda-Crest. Also, when they went in the ice cream store and Homer orders all these toppings that have knock-off names from real candy - Heh. Makes me think of The Shinning.

I loved the 24 ep, and I'm very, very critical of the newer eps; I'm one of those "only the first 8 or 9 seasons are any good" people. It's the first ep in years that I honestly think is up to the level of the classic era. And I don't watch 24.
The second ep was meh, as the newer ones usually are. Though I cracked up at "Apu sang a song!"
I'm not optimistic about the movie. I'm sure I'll go see it but I'm not getting my hopes up for anything amazing.

We loved the 24 ep, but MrB is a big fan. I can see how if you are not a 24-watcher, alot of the little subtle details would be lost.

Was the 8:30/7:30 episode supposed to be mocking the Don Imus controversy? Or was it just a coincidence? I didn't think they would've had time to put together an episode about it as quickly as they would've had to if the story wasn't coincidental.

I didn't think they would've had time to put together an episode about it as quickly as they would've had to if the storyline wasn't coincidental. It was a coincidence - they started work on the episode a year ago. In an interview, Al Jean thanked Don Imus for making the episode "incredibly timely."
