I love watching Jamie at Home and Secrets of a Resturant Chef. I made Jamie's Balsamic Baked Potatoes and Onions last week for company, who raved at how good they were. Thursday I'm having friends over for dinner & making Anne's Herb Roasted Chicken.
I also love 30 Minute Meals with Rachael Ray. I've made a lot of her recipes and love how quick & easy they are to make.

I've said it before--I love Rachael Ray's recipes--they're actually pretty tasty (her "Fall Minestrone" is a staple in my house) and can be good for you, through her I discovered how much I love dark greens. However I hate her show. She shreiks.

Right now I'm on a rather strict diet. Paula Deen is my food porn...oh baby bring on that butter and whipped cream. I also get off (food wise) on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives good comfort food. Don't really like Guy though.

I like the Neeley's, because the food looks good, budget friendly, and is easily assessible. It's needless to say, I like Paula too, but I just love her desserts. Of course, I always watch the waistline.
What I want to bring up is the Next FN Star. We all know Aaron won, so he got a show of his own. Well, it appears Lisa is out in the cold, because, in addition to offering Aaron a show, they also offered the smoke-meat guy a show; it's called Will Work for Food.
I guess Lisa must be feeling very special now.

Good news for me. I thought Lisa was the Freakiest Freak of all Freaks. Like, seriously. She looked like she might snap and stab someone in the throat with a paring knife at any given moment. And I hate when she sang.

I hated it, when she sang. If she is a nutcase, I pity the general public, who is within striking distance of her paring knife.

Wow, am I glad to hear my husband and I weren't the only ones who hated Lisa. Over at "the other place" they are ranting about how Lisa was robbed and Aaron was handed the job. I couldn't stand her after listening to her for 3 minutes and could not believe she got that far. I'm still annoyed they axed the two young kids; I think that could have attracted a younger demo than they typically get.

I *heart* Ace of Cakes so much! Not only are their creations AWESOME!, but I adore the camaraderie between Duff and his employees and they all seem to genuinly love their job and each other. What I wouldn't give to have a job like that...

I want my sister to go work for Duff, she's an interior designer/archeticture major type, she's do amazing work for him. And then I could visit the bakery!
I think that the Secrets of a Restaraunt Chef's show is so fun. I love Anne Burrell.
I am in the minority--I loved Lisa Garza.

Of the three finalists, I liked Lisa the best. Yes, she was a snob with a weird squint, but she had her own style. Aaron & Adam are just repeats of other FN personalities. But, if it had been me, I'd have teamed up Shane & Kelsey and done a show for college kids/young adults out on their own for the first time.
