I loved Giada from the get go. Mainly because her food always looks so fucking delicious. Rachael Ray is ok. Her food is pretty much hit or miss though. I swear there have been a few times she has cooked meat cut it, and the inside looked PURPLE. Or maybe the color was off on my tv. I grew up eating the types of food Paula cooks so she's not very interesting to me. My personal favorite is Ina Gartin. I adore that woman. I want to marry her. I would sell my soul if she would invite me to her house and cook for me. Preferably her baked chicken or chicken chili. Every single thing she cooks looks amazing. Hell, she even makes asparagus and brussels sprouts look good. And I hate both of those. All she does is put it in the oven with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Very simple and it comes out looking divine. Oh, and I really miss the Two Fat Ladies. That and Two Hot Tamales (anybody remember that show) got me hooked on this channel. I would never eat any of their food but I enjoyed watching them banter and cook. I know one died but I wish FN would at least show reruns. Giada's and Ina's recipes work really well for me; haven't had a disappointment (crosses fingers) yet. And, Two Fat Ladies...oh, how I miss my TFL!!!

OH, I miss the Fat Ladies as well. I wish they would rerun the shows. They were so unpretentious.

Paula Deen has a line of food-scented candles out now. One of them is called "Blueberry Dunplins' . " Gah.

Hey, what happened to the Next Food Network Star? Where is his show? It's funny how some of the winners are never heard from again. What about the gay couple from the first season? I just saw a promo for a new show hosted by Adam. He's the younger guy who lost the last round against Lisa and the dude who won (see, I don't even remember his name). It's some sort of food adventure-type show. The only winner who is recognizable is Guy Fieri.

Big Daddy's House, hosted by Aaron McCargo (sp?), Jr., is scheduled to start airing its second season in January, if I remember the commercial correctly. I never watched any of the first season.
Adam's new show is called Will Work for Food and I think it also starts in January.

So Aaron has a second season, but did he really have a first season?
I remember he had a guests spot on the Neeeleys, but that was all I saw of him. I'm kind of interested in watching him.

I think he had, maybe, three shows that aired. Is that a season? I guess they just throw out a couple of shows to see if anyone watches.

Yeah, I was surprised they said his second season, too, not that I watched the first. I wasn't really interested in him and frankly felt that his "win" was set up. In fact, the whole Next Food Network Star show left a bad taste in my mouth...err, no pun intended.
