TV Characters We Hate

So, I've been watching Everybody Loves Raymond in syndication lately (for what reason, you ask? Laziness to turn the channel after Seinfeld), and dear God, I can't decide who I hate more: Ray's wife or mother. I wanna strangle both of them. The only decent character on that show, in fact, is the brother. But how I wish that the mother and his wife would've died in a fire.

Since they kind of reduced Burke's scenes on the show (except for once or twice showing up, bitching at Christina) I can sort of tolerate him right now. The character I truly hate on the show is McDreamy. Most arrogant, patronizing and annoying person on the show right now. And I hate that as a viewer I'm expected to adore him.

I caught a Season 6 episode of Homicide and have to say as much as I hated him before--the hate for Falsone, has only gotten stronger. What a douchebag.

I hate Sam Carter on Stargate Atlantis. Boring Mary Sue who isn't nearly as hot as the writers think she is.

I don't mind Sam, but I hate Dr. Keller. She's like 21 years old, and we're supposed to believe she's a doctor? I keep thinking she's an intern. Every time I see her I keep wondering when the real doctor is going to come in and check on her progress and tell her what she did right or wrong. They killed the awesome Carson Beckett for HER? Ugh.

I have a blinding, raging hatred for Ben on Lost. Every time he opens his mouth I think, "Somebody, please, put a bullet in that man's head." But they never do.

It's a good hatred though, because he is so completely bad that he makes everybody around him look boring and stupid. The show wouldn't be the same without him.

Agreed, Ripley. He plays an evil bastard so damned good, he's the character you love to hate.

As for other shows, my husband and I missed the Buffy and Angel popular run but thanks to Netflix, we've been catching up. I just had to voice my utter disgust at the Connor character. Ye gods, I was glad when they wrote emo boy out of the storyline. It got to where I'd just mock the character every time he was on the screen.

As for a Buffy character (granted, we're only five seasons in yet so I don't know some of the things that have been mentioned in this and other threads...I've given up not being spoilered because the shows and fans seem to be everywhere ), that would have to be Faith. I about gave up on the series when she crossed over to Angel, thinking I'd be stuck having to watch her. Thanks goodness it was just a cameo.

Callie on Battlestar Galactica was another but that's no longer an issue. Woo! Sadly, other characters on the show that I used to like have changed so much that they're now annoying. Gaius I-found-religion Baltar and Lee I-know-we're-at-war-but-I-don't-want-to-be-a-pilot-anymore Adama are basically shadows of their former selves, unfortunately.

I stopped watching SGA when they brought her over. They should have left her Mary Sue-ass on Stargate SG-1. She doesn't belong on Atlantis.

I hate Keller too. Whoa is me. I'm a genius who never went to prom. Should let the Wraith feed on her.

Hate Faith, but not as much as Connor.
