It seemed like the skits were soooo long. But I don't think they were longer... just boring.

Now that Tine Fey's gone, does this mean we won't have to put up with anymore Liho eps?

If having a crush on Seth Myers is wrong, I don't want to be right. (I'm sorry, Jason Sudekis, I'd never betray you.... ) As the old saying goes, Dane really runs the gamut from A to B. I know he's considered "good" at physical comedy, but that doesn't mean they had to write soooo many sketches relying on that. The stabbing with the letter opener in the Short was great, though.

Eeeek! Prayers have been answered, Hugh Laurie is hosting the Halloween episode! (October 28.)
With his extensive sketch comedy and improv background, I'm fully expecting him to hit it out of the park, and I hope he doesn't disappoint!
I'm so fangirl-ily excited!

Hugh Laurie....is....hosting? I think I might die from the fangirl excitement...it'll be great to see him doing comedy again. I hope they give him some material he can work with.

If only Stephen Fry would pop in for a sketch! Or Emma Thompson...

Jamie Pressley this week, then Hugh?
Oh man, SNL, it's like you beat me (Dane. Both times) but sometimes the sex is really great so I keep coming back for more.

I thought the airport screeners sketch was funny. I thought the Chavez show started out funny, but quickly got unfunny - I think it was all the gesturing and Amy in that sketch. Poehler totally sucked in that one as Kim Jong-il in a way that I did not think was possible with her. It looked as if she were trying to make it up as she went. For anyone who hasn't been watching SNL regularly in the last few years: always, always skip the opening skit. It went from being a cute quick intro sketch to a long winded unfunny drawnout yawn fest that looks like it is there solely to use up as much airtime as possible.

Was disappointed with this weeks' episode. Though I like Ms. Pressly I thought they really gave her no good roles save for the private school student and the Nascar cheerleaders. I was a little disappointed. Oh yeah Jon Bovi - hated it. Loved the Peter O'Toole monologue and I think the audience loved it as well Didn't really get into the NY stories except the Scorsese/Rosie Perez sketch which I thought was pure gold. Liked the Nascar cheerleaders The news was just OK - but loved the snarky line about not going to a doctor who can't afford playoff tickets!!! Overall just meh for me.
