lallybroch, I don't think I was watching at that time. Was this when Jonathan Jackson was playing Lucky or was it Lucky #2? Yeah, Kristen Storms (formerly Belle on Days) is now playing Lucky. Lucky is married to Elizabeth.
I love Ingo, but am torn about him staying on. If they could get him away from Carly, I'm all for it. If Sam and Ric pair up (*shudder*), maybe Jax and Alexis could get together.

Maxie's crush played out with the first two Luckys and even predates Liz's arrival in Port Charles. Waaaaaay back when, Lucky had a worm farm with his cousin Sly Eckhart (who disappeared into the soap opera ether, never to return) and Maxie, knowing this, dressed up as a worm for Halloween (her birthday BTW). During the Jacob Young years, Maxie was in her early teens, still too young, but old enough to be jealous of Liz and throw sulky glares in Lucky and Liz's direction whenever she saw them being lovey dovey in public. Lucky was very sweet to Maxie but never misled her in any way, since she was just a kid to him. Maxie was sort of heartbroken, but Mac reassured her that she would have plenty of boys interested in her once she grew up some.

You'd think we'd see more of him, given Robert's return and all that's going on with his girls...but, again, that's how lame the writers are. Awww...I remember Sly! I had forgotten about the worm farm.

Okay, after the whole bar scene with the men of Port Charles drinking away their pent up sexual frustrations over the hot, gorgeous, sexy, strong, powerful firecracker vixen that is Carly Corinthos, I think I've had enough GH for the next few weeks at least.
And did the guy who plays Jason Morgan have a really adverse reaction to some toxic black market Botox? Because he seems to be incapable of producing movement in his face.

Gross. They actually did that? I haven't watched GH regularly in a couple of years but I do take quick peeks every now and then in the hope that things have gotten better. I don't want to sound mean but Carly looks old and used up. And even worse she's just as mean and nasty as ever. How anyone can look at her as an object of their fantasies is beyond me.
That just shoes how low GH has sunk. What has happened to the heroines? This show once had strong, sassy, beautiful and tough females who kicked some ass but were still good people you could root for.
I may be in the minority but Brenda Barrett is one of the last few true heroines on this show. She started out mean and nasty. But she evolved and became kind and caring but could still put you in your place. And I miss Laura Spencer. I understand Anna is back but she's not used enough.

Too bad there's no vomiting emoticon, because I'd be using it right about now. Looks like I stopped taping just in time. What has happened to the heroines? This show once had strong, sassy, beautiful and tough females who kicked some ass but were still good people you could root for. EXACTLY. The thing is, the show does have great potential heroines in characters like Alexis and Robin, but they are continually crapped upon by the writers. Both are smart, strong, loving women with great careers, but we're supposed to see them as (depending on the character and day of the week) shrewish, closed-off, whiny buttinkskies. Meanwhile, a woman like Carly, who keeps babies from their fathers and insults a woman over her HIV status, is held up as some sort of shining example of womanhood and motherhood. I loved Brenda. Man, would I love to see her come back and put Carly in her place. Anna is great, too--but I agree that she is sadly under-utilized.

It got even worse. Each of the guys had a fantasy about being seduced by Carly, including her cousin Lucky. WTF? I FF through all of those scenes, so I don't know if Lucky and Carly kissed, but just the idea of it is so wrong.

I used to be a huuge General Hospital fan but the Sonny C love had completely turned me off years ago. I do have Soap Net though and thought I might begin watching it again since Genie Francis is coming back. But this Carly worship is too disturbing. She's been a scheming ho since way back when she seduced her Mother's husband to get back at her mother for abandoning her. That Carly was interesting. This thing they've turned her into is just disturbing. They had all the guys fantasizing about her? That's just disturbing --especially this new Carly is nasty looking.

It got even worse. Each of the guys had a fantasy about being seduced by Carly, including her cousin Lucky. WTF? I FF through all of those scenes, so I don't know if Lucky and Carly kissed, but just the idea of it is so wrong. And in every fantasy, Carly had an ethereal orb of golden light surrounding her as she teased each fellow about hittin' it on the pool table. What's so annoying about it all is that Jason-Sonny-Carly are shoved down the viewers' throats. They can't just let them be the people they are and leave it at that. No, they have to have every young male character think that middle aged Carly who looks like she has bad allergies is Teh Hawtness!!1! And they have to have all the women think sexy mobster Sonny's anguish is so exquisitely deep that mere mortals just don't understand it, and they have to pass criminal Jason off as a man of unrivaled valor and loyalty. It's too heavy-handed, and I thought AMC was being heavy-handed with the way they were treating JR as the poor wounded alcoholic orphan boy, but that was nothing compared to what GH is doing. I decided not to watch today's show, but as I was walking to turn it off I of course saw the first 30 seconds or so. So Lucky was popping a vicodin and immediately as it passed his lips, he gets this spaced out Requiem for a Dream face and starts carressing his lips and jaw with his hand. Oh for God's sake! It's not like he shot up heroin! You don't act like that two seconds after taking a vicodin. Between bi-polar disorder and prescription drug addiction and whatever else I'm forgetting, this show is incapable of portraying any sort of psychological problem anywhere near believably.

I just started watching this show again. Why is Lulu staying with the Quartermaines? How old is the girl hitting on Lucky supposed to be? Why do all the young kids have sex in the boat house? I know Liz was married to Rick, and now is with Lucky, who is a drug addict.
I've only been watching for like, two weeks, and the Jason Carly Sonny stuff bores me and annoys me. They take up so much of the show, and now Sonny is seeing the attractive therapist and it's just so boring. He's so awful. I can't wait for Laura to come back.
