I know this sounds horrible, but am I the only one who thought Rosie wandered in from the "Riding the Bus" set and forgot that her character in this wasn't, ya'know, retarded? She seemed a little slow, to put it mildly. So true. And a testament to the great "acting" skills of Rosie, which seem to only include acting like herself or acting like herself desperately trying to act like a retarded person. Another incredibly astute observation! It IS completely out of Debbie's character -- but no fear. I give it 3-4 episodes and back to the diner she goes. Trust me. Everytime some character goes OUT of their character, the wretched writers induldge the "new" character for a couple of episodes and poof! back to their old selves in no time flat. (See also: Ted and his meth addiction; Ted and his "broke-assness" because he couldn't get a job; Brian Kinney and his magical three-episode cancer battle.)

Of course she did! (scroll down to May 27) This is a strangely coherent entry as far as Rosie's blog goes.

Oh, lordy. Yes, Rosie. It got no support from the gay community because the show SUCKS. And now that you're on it, the suck factored just increased by Pi.
And yet...I will keep watching.

I love this show. I love it for what it is....a cheesy soap opera with lots of gay characters. Nothing more, nothing less. I think the biggest problem with the show is that the creators CowLip have too high of an opinion of themselves; and they tried to make the show something it wasn't.

I completely agree. I definitely think that the writers weren't quite sure of what kind of show they wanted to make and ended up going a little crazy!
FYI, Recap 503 is up!

I assume that with the passage of time a double post is okay? Correct me if I'm wrong Moldy Tofu! Thanks!
What a great ep!
I was truly surprised by how much I enjoyed it!
The recaplet will be up later on tonight.
There were lots of laugh out loud parts, and even the obvious parts (Brian giving Michael and Ben a sling?!) were hilarious.
Rosie didn't make me sick to my stomach, and even Hunter was bearable.
What's happening to me?

I think you might be numb. Because I thought that was HORRID. The AIDS PSA courtesy of Ted, followed by an opening scene of an orgy? CLASSY. Lindsay looked positively ghoulish, Brian looked like he was sporting Snap-On Hair, and Rosie?? Didn't you hear me last week?? Get off my TV! Gah--just when I thought the Ted story line could not get MORE ridiculous, WHAM- Ted on Extreme Makeover. It is a bad, bad sign that the only person I found tolerable this evening was Little Bratty Adopted Ex-Hustler Boy. Thank god this is the last hurrah, because I seriously could not last for another season (I still don't know how I'll get through this one.) But...good recaps, Sticky!

Ha!
But once you get past all of that! (HEE!!) It was a pretty decent show.
Justin sooo has Brian whipped so that's fun to watch. Brian doesn't want to change, but everyone around him is.
Brian designed an entire night around Michael and for once Michael isn't there to sniff his crack!
And next week? Even more STD's!!!
Plus, we got Common at the end, so that automatically gives it an extra mark.

It is a bad, bad sign that the only person I found tolerable this evening was Little Bratty Adopted Ex-Hustler Boy. Is there something in that actor's contract where he must never be shown with an exposed forehead? Because even when he got out of Hetero High's pool during practice, his bangs were perfectly placed on his head. I've never seen that kid's forehead -- scars or receding hairline, I wonder? And since when did he start swimming? And I'm sorry -- even at Hateful Hetero High, even the biggest asshole isn't going to scream out, "He's got AIDS!" Yes, I know, QaF writers, heteros SUCK. Why again is Ted's hair blonde? And why on earth did they use the "bandage wrap" camera angle? And how are they going to write a facelift into the storyline when the actor never really had one? Can't wait to see that one. Good for you Michael for being so proud for STEALING A BABY! And also? I'm sick of Brian being portrayed as having no social skills whatsoever -- as if he's the King of All Gay Men, informing others of what they're missing by being in a monogamous relationship. Clearly, judging from next week's previews, they're missing herpes. That being said, post-shower Brian was so very hot.

I liked the bandage wrap view, but I wondered about what Ted saw in the mirror, and what he was expecting to see.
I'm the only person in the world that likes Ted's blond hair.
Bwah! about Hunter's bangs. I've never paid attention before, but I will now!
Y'all send me, I can't wait to read more responses. Expect shoutouts in the upcoming recap!
