Dancing With the Stars

Once they explained how the placement rankings worked and I saw that Stacy came in second with the judges (despite the 30 for that last dance-huh?), I figured she would finish third overall. Jerry was clearly popular with audiences and I seriously doubted Drew would get the least number of votes. Stacy getting eliminated first took all of the suspense out of the last hour of the finale, but Drew and Jerry played along pretty well.

What really made me mad was this comment -

He dumped the bow-ties - he's trying to be more mainstream now (and failing miserably, in my opinion).

Yuck yuck yuck ... who needs to see that tool dancing? Any word on who the other "stars" are? I heard plastic face Vivica Fox .. who else?

There's supposed to be an announcement tomorrow of the "star" line-up on Good Morning America. In addition to Tucker and Vivica, I've heard rumors about Mario Lopez (ringer), Harry Hamlin (because we didn't see enough of Lisa Rinna last season), Joey Lawrence (I wonder if he's going by Joseph or Joe now), Shanna Moakler (of Meet the Barkers "fame"), Jerry Springer, Emmitt Smith (this season's NFL legend), and Sara Evans (country singer). Possibly the daughter on The George Lopez Show, but that one I heard a while ago and her status might have changed.

Holy crap that's a bad lineup! With the exception of Mario and possibly Joe(y), they're all going to be painfully stiff.

I can't freakin' wait to see Tucker Carlson try to dance! I hate that guy. His career crashing and burning is such sweet schadenfreude.

As Tucker's only fan here I am both shocked and somewhat delighted to see the trainwreck about to happen. Tucker cracks me up and while I don't doubt he will be the first eliminated due to a very small fan base, I think he will bring the funny.

As his producer and friend Willie Geist says "I've had some pretty awful dance partners in my life, but no amount of experience could have prepared me for the unspeakable horror I witnessed when I stepped onto the dance floor with Tucker Carlson. Tucker is a legitimately great man and a good friend, but when he dances, he’s not only an embarrassment to himself and his family, but a living, breathing affront to rhythm and movement in space. I’m not saying I’m Fred Astaire, but Tucker dances like he’s just been tasered after leading police on a high-speed chase."
