Sharna (Charlie's partner) to me has the potential to rival Derek in terms of creativity on the dance floor. This is the first season she has a potential ringer so it will be interesting to see her choreography with him and if it's as good as I'm hoping it will be. I'd like to see what she would do with a freestyle.

Still bummed about Tristan and from the sounds of it, I don't think we'll be seeing him anymore. I don't know who to be excited about. Val gets another ringer-y person (Danica has allegedly taken ballroom lessons in the past. Sharna and Charlie will probably be good. Peta gets another hot young guy to dance almost naked with (and she's supposedly dating this one?). I don't see Tony and NeNe or Karina and her partner lasting long. I'm a little late asking, but what makes you think Tristan won't be back? I always enjoyed watching him - he looked like he was genuinely having a good time instead of the super serious "I'm supposed to look sexy now" face others get.

This was part of a statement he made and it reads like he's going to take it as an opportunity to pursue other avenues. I know he mentioned he and his wife would like to move to Australia at some point, maybe to start a family. I do hope that if they ask him back next season he will return, though, if he's not involved in another project.

Aww, I didn't know that Tristan got married - that is one pretty couple. Tahyna Tozzi gazes adoringly at Dancing With The Stars pro Tristan MacManus on 'wonderful' wedding dayIt's interesting that the show can be so clueless. Isn't he super popular, yet they either stick him with duds or pass altogether? But they want to force Val down our throats, and he's sort of icky to me (or an I clueless and Val is some hottie?). I'm so glad that Brooke is gone, yet she's done about 10 PEOPLE interviews talking about how she's handling it, how her kids handle it, how everyone handles it. Get OVER IT, you're done! And of course the rumors are out that everyone hates Erin because she's a diva, and they all want Brooke back. I wonder if Brooke has the tabs on speed dial? I'm sure she's lovely, but she was a BORING co-host!

Dammit, that hussy stole my man when I wasn't looking. Give him back, you imaginary-boyfriend stealing strumpet with the weirdly spelled name! Give him back NOW!

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a DWTS fan that doesn't like Tristan, even if he's not their favorite pro. Val for whatever reason keeps getting young contenders and I wonder if it's because the producers can count on him to try to play the showmance angle whereas Tristan wouldn't. Though that doesn't explain why they couldn't still give Tristan a young contender. Peta's another one that they keep giving young hotties to because she'll strip down with them. I really would love to be a fly on the wall in their production meetings to know how they heck they come up with stuff.

I liked a lot of the stars and think this is a season where they probably wouldn't have needed all the stunts they're pulling out, to liven up the show.
Billy Dee Williams tried but that was kind of sad to watch.
The best part was Candace and Danica recounting their teenage "love triangle" with Ben Seaver himself, Jeremy Miller!

Who are these people? I recognized NeNe, Billy Dee Williams, and Drew Carey, and name recognized Candace Cameron, and the two Olympic people we just saw on TV recently, but the rest? I hope they give some more detailed introductions.
I wonder if MMMMaks came back because he was promised a "ringer"? Not that I'm complaining about looking at MMMMaks for a season.

Yeah, I felt bad for Billy Dee Williams. But take heart, he'll be gone soon.
Candace Cameron was a little overscored. She danced well, but I think the choreography is what was most impressive about her routine.
When Danica McKellar said she was excited to be there, she really, really, really was. She had a Bindi Irwin level of excitement going on.
Meryl the ringer was underscored. (Are any of those judges Canadian?) But I think she'll get plenty of audience votes to make up for the injustice.
I was a little worried that Charlie was going to embarrass himself. I'm glad he didn't! But all 9's? Hmmmm. And all of those lifts were taken directly from his Olympic program. Also, kudos to the visible chest hair, but next week I'd like no shirt whatsoever.
