I can't remember if they've ever mentioned why they call her "Sweet" Dee.

This season, they did a kiddie pageant episode ("Frank Reynolds' Little Beauties") and it was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Dear God.

According to creator Rob McElhenney, the name 'Sweet Dee' was the nickname of one of his friend's girlfriends. He liked the nickname and later thought of it while creating the character of Dennis' sister.

The most recent season felt kinda uneven and blah to me, though I thought the games episode was incredible. I wish Kaitlin got more mainstream recognition -- she's an absolutely hilarious physical comedian.
