I agree with him on so much of what he's saying, but all I hear in the back of my head is his "who should we see about that?" during his Princess Diana press conference.

Man, he really seems like a Sony toady, there.
My suspicions about pulling the movie are two fold. (1) The insurance issue if someone get blown up, although I'm sure the publicity surrounding the risk would offer some sort of contributory negligence defense. (2) (More importantly) There must be something REALLY BAD in the hacked materials to cause Sony to blink. Why else not do VoD? They could make a killing on it, because I'd download it and I'd never otherwise go see it. (2a) On topic, I still there is some MAJOR shit on Clooney that caused him to rush into marriage.

My understanding was that Sony would have to forego insurance money if they release the movie at all, including on VoD. Of course now I can't remember where I read that, but it wouldn't surprise me if it makes more financial sense for them not to release it.

Hee, that was my take. This, to me, is the least scandalous thing out of the hack. He wants to promote his movie and he's embarrassed that it's not doing well. I watched MM this weekend, and it was weirdly like Ocean's Twelve during WW2, just lots of stars clearly enjoying 1940s costumes. I really enjoyed MM. It had its problems but it was still fun and it brought attention to the real effort to rescue art during WWII.

I have a feeling that the movie is going to eventually leak online.

I have a feeling that the movie is going to eventually leak online. Do you mean, "leak"?

We watched that last night and had a good laugh. Such a great cast, and Clooney, regardless of what faults he has, is still my ideal man.

I thought it was the best stuff DA has put out in at least 3 years!
