Alvarez was way too neurotic for me. I loved Keller and Beecher (with me in the middle, that would be a roast beef sandwich...mmmmm), Adebisi, and esp. Said. Damn, it was some fine men on that show.

Oh, Said! I loved him, too. I think Eamonn Walker is more of a theater guy -- too bad he's hardly ever in anything here.

Has anyone ever heard cast interviews? I wonder how hard it was to embody these characters at times.

Ah. My people. I think my favorite thing about Oz is how many of the actors are on episodes of Law & Order. I'm forever pointing them out to Rat and explaining their Oz characters to him. I really should have him watch some of the eps of Oz with me so he knows what I'm talking about. *sigh* I know! The Oz cast are everywhere. Law and Order, Lost, The Wire, you name it. . The other wtf moment was when the little red headed guy (Billy?) got possessed the devil and was trying to get to BD Wong's character. Uh huh. That was Timmy Kirk. What a little nutsack he was. I was never on the Alvarez love train probably due to the fact that the first episode I saw of Oz was the one where he wiped feces on himself. Hard to get turned on by that. My love for Adebisi ( and AAA's amazing butt) and Ryan O'Reilly remains to this day. Breakdancing aside of course. I love seeing Oz players on The Wire. I hated Kenny" Bricks" Wangler with a passion, but came to love Bodie on The Wire. Props to JD Williams.

Dean Winters is pretty much Ryan O'Reilly without the psychopathy but Lee Tergesen seemed completely different to poor old Beecher. Lee was full of energy (he seemed like he was coked off his gourd) and was constantly making jokes. Tom Fontana, series creator, offered the most insight into the making of the series and discussed a lot of things that I hadn't considered; ie. how hard it was to film within Oz given all the glass that reflected off the camera lens.
