Max is gone for good. I believe Simon Woods as Octavian will be introduced next week. I am not sure how much time has passed but I believe it is around two years. I could totally be wrong though. I understand that the upcoming sex scenes would be too much for young Max to do but damn am I gonna miss that kid. As for Pullo and Octavian, I believe the answer is yes they will be siding up against Antony and Vorenus.

Yay! Vorenus' children are still alive! I thought surely they'd be dead upon Pullo and Vorenus' return to the slave camp. I love this series, but its brutality is hard to take at times. The torture scenes last night made me ill. I can't decide whether I'm on Team Atia or Team Servilia, but after last night, I might be on Team Servilia just because I felt so bad for her.

I don't feel too terribly sorry for Servilia. Her list of misdeeds includes: plotting Caesar's murder; seducing Octavia and in turn persuading Octavia to seduce her own brother, all for political ends; threatening a long and painful death for Atia, and indirectly, causing the death of Niobe by having her servant woman tell Vorenus about little Lucius.
I think Atia may have blundered, strategically, however, by arranging the rape and torture of Servilia, who is, after all, a noblewoman, etc. Better to have just dumped the body of the slave Duro on Servilia's doorstep, as a warning. And maybe have arranged the murder of Servilia's right-hand woman/slave as payback since Servilia seems to rely on her.
On a happier note, I'm glad to see our favorite couple, Vorenus and Pullo, are back together again. Hooray!

I'm still on Team Atia. Even though she's a conscienceless sociopath. There's still something so lustfully appealing about her. Servilla is a humorless cold fish. Like Atia, she's all about the ends justifying the means, but she doesn't do it with as much panache.
I was so happy to see Vorenus accept the little boy. You never know with him.
I liked Simon Woods much better as Octavian. I thought Max did a good job, but I think the role now calls for someone more mature.
Does anyone know at what point in history that the show will end? Will it be with Antony's death? I'm so sad this is the last season. There's nothing on television that comes close to it.

OMG, spoiler! I totally agree on the Team Atia thing. She's a terrible monster but just seems so self-absorbed and hilariously bored by it all (fine, go bang this german slut...yawn, go get a rentboy rather than find another poisoner, etc). that she becomes kinda awesome. I don't know why but I find Octavian's messenger extremely hot, in a cuddly, teddy-bear kind of way.

TTMR finally got around to watching last week's episode. I'm so depressed. The torture scenes...ay, papi. I am happy that Vorenus's kids are alive, but you just know that there is some severe damage there.

Wasn't that a good episode? I loved seeing Atia ride up on the big, white charger. Also when Antony and Octavian hugged, so sweet. My Roman history is sketchy at this point, so I was worried that Octavian would have some problems with Brutus. Now he can crush him. Him and Cicero. I'm tempted to Google Cicero's fate, but I won't spoil it for myself. I should have paid attention in history class. I really dislike Vorenus at this point. I used to think he was such a noble sort. But he's just too heartless. The scene with the serving girl garnered him my hate. Just let the poor girl leave with a shred of dignity, you beast! I wish there were some battle scenes. I know it would probably be ridiculously expensive. But I would love to see Antony leading his men into battle. I think Simon Woods is other worldly beautiful. In a few scenes they captured his blue eyes and pale skin. He looks angelic. I kind of wish he had been there from the begining. I will cry when this show is all done.
