I fucking love this show. I can see myself enjoying it even more when I'm as middle-aged as the characters.

I hear it's all improvised which makes it even greater...Larry David is such a sarcastic ass!

I don't watch it consistently but I love the "Car Pool Lane" episode. Kym Whitley is amazing as Monena the hooker.

Larry David is my hero. He does all of the things I want to do to people. I often wonder, "But..WHY do I have to do this?" I loved when he was frustrated by all of the tipping when they're in NY for The Producers. Good stuff.

My parents always make me watch this when I'm in town, and it sets my teeth on edge. It's like a half hour show where you're forced into the head of the really fussy high maintenance guy in your social circle that doesn't have any joy in his life because not everything is perfect and every little minor thing is this huge annoyance that they have to obsess over.

I can't watch Seinfield either. Something about watching people have constantly negative reactions to one another while complaining about some minor thing a dry cleaning lady/waiter/coworker did just makes me feel really nervous. Blah.

I'm so glad you said that. I don't like this show and I don't like Seinfeld either. There is just too much bad stuff always happening to these characters. I can't stand all the negativity. Does anybody really get that worked up about such stupid stuff?

I can't speak for Seinfeld, but the stuff on CYE is big ... I tell ya ... BIG! There was that story arc where Larry ends up guilted into doing chores/favors for his blind friend. That stuff really happens.

Back in school, I became friends with someone who was visually-impaired. I just could NOT say "no" to him, and I ended up doing all sorts of things for him that no way I would've done if he'd been sighted. I was probably a jerk for condescending to his disability like that. But I couldn't help it. I was young (19), and my backbone was still developing. It all happened gradually over a semester. But for a month, it was this full-blown dependency, and it was a crazy mess. Now, thanks to Larry & CYE ... I look back and it was a funny, crazy mess.

According to HBO's website, the new season starts Sept. 9!!! I am sooo excited. Steve Coogan is guest-starring! And Vivica A. Fox is apparently going to be playing a member of a family who move in with Larry and Cheryl. I've missed Curb... it seems like season five ended so long ago.
