I am opening this thread because my wife is hooked on this show. Anyone else care about Tallon, Kisten, Lauren, Steve and the rest of this OC gang?

I hate the fact that I watch this show. These are random people who I should not care about at all, but I can't look away from the tv when they are on. I just don't understand why I care about some teeny boppers lives.

With that said, I can't stand Kristen. She thinks she's all that. If she wasn't on tv, she would see that high school "status" means nothing once you get to college. And now we will probably see more of her since she got an agent. I think she wants to be the next Paris Hilton. Like that's a good thing.

Jason needs to whip out his driver's license to the camera and prove that he actually is a teenager.

Jessica is annoying. She has some self esteem issues.

I can't figure out why I will readily admit to seeing almost every single episode of The Real World but clam up when it comes time to admit to watching Laguna Beach. I am hooked on this show. The people are pretty but vapid and the "storylines" are so extremely edited and repetetive yet I watch every week and check out the reruns (something I no longer do for The Real World).

I think I must like it because I was never that into high school. I had friends and activities, but I was never really part of a gang of people who sat around trying to figure out how to play games with guys or how to find the perfect dress for the party. Maybe it is the Sweet Valley High reader in me, but I can't get enough of the stupid love triangles and high school goings on.

Two of my friends have LB-themed shirts--one says "Team Kristin" and the other says "Team LC."

WTF would anyone want with a "Team Kristin" t-shirt? LC is sooo cuter and sooo much less annoying! I don't like having Kristin as a focal point--I preferred how, last season, everyone hated her. Well, except Steeeeeevuuuuuunnnn!

ETA They're all snotty brats, but Kristin irks me the most.

Laguna is Viacom's top-rated show; its viewership surpasses The Real World's. I also read somewhere else that it's the 9th most watched show on cable, including all viewer age categories.

I can't figure out why I will readily admit to seeing almost every single episode of The Real World but clam up when it comes time to admit to watching Laguna Beach.

ThursdayNext, I think a lot of us -- as in people with a cable hookup -- are watching. But for whatever reason, we don't talk about it. It's weird, huh?

But she's the one that bought those $600 shoes because Jessica Simpson has the same pair. Unless it was all for the cameras and she returned them later.

Perhaps the other Alex? Although I doubt Kristen would be friends with her if she lived in a trailer park.

Maybe it's one of the guys.
