This should go in the "movie moments that make you cry' thread, but...
the scene where the girl has her breakdown, crying over her mother's abandonment, well, I just lose it. Every, freakin', time. Its not that the acting is so great (its not), but I think I was shocked to find out that the queen was her mother, and this combined with her trying to drown the daughter, well, it was all too much.
My kids love this, but when it comes to the end and we learn of the 'queen's' plan to drown the girl in the tub, etc, well, its all a bit adult and out of sync with the rest of the movie.
I still love it .
