I like this show, but I love anything that has an apocalyptic slant. It's had kind of a slow start but I think it'll pick up.

I'm liking it for the most part. Ashley Scott who plays Emily and Sprague Grayden who plays the schoolteacher - really annoy me as actresses, so I don't care for their characters.

I'll keep watching - I want to know what's up with Hawkins.

I like it as well, but then I too like apocalyptic stuff. (I wonder what that says about us?)

I just read a book that was similar to this, except that in the book everything electronic just quits without explanation - they think possibly an electromagnetic burst or something. No phones, electricity, generators, nothing. So, like Jericho, there is no explanation from anywhere, and people have to just fend for themselves. Also in the book, like in Jericho, slowly they learn that it's greater than just their town/state and that there will be no one to rescue them and that the after effects will be long term. While reading the book, I was thinking, this would make an interesting movie. Anyway, there are three more books scheduled, so I will gain some storyline continuity and satisfaction.

As for the show, most of the actors are unknowns or HiTGs to me, except for Gerald McRaney. I think, so far, they're doing a good job of setting up characters and plots, and giving us (and the Jericho-ites) just enough information to satisfy our curiousity and questions.

They have also stayed away from some of the typical stereotypes in this sort of show/movie: the loudmouth blowhard who argues against the authority figure about every little thing, the pregnant woman who gives birth (and new hope) at a critical moment, and the sherriff and mayor being ex-spouses who are forced to work together.

I'm liking this too. But then, I've always had a thing for Skeet Ulrich ;D I hope this show lasts. I may be up to 5 or 6 shows that appeal to me!!! Whoooo hoooo!!! lol

I like it, I hope it stays a while. It is starting to get interesting as this second episode dropped hints about love triangles and showed messed up marriages etc. I think they can delve into a lot of different things here. Like I said- hope it lasts and doesn't get too hokey but stays just hokey enough. I loved Invasion though so anyway.....

I like this show, too. The first episode hooked me because of the Atlanta revelation. It got better with the second episode although the rain coming down as soon as the cellar door closed was too much. But that's alright. Prison Break is very unrealistic, but I love that show.

Skeet Ulrich? What happend to him? He's not looking too good.

Hey Mugsy, what's the name of that book? It sounds interesting.

I agree with CAgirl. The last epi was a bit much with Skeet doing everything and saving everyone, but I still like it.

Hawkins got the morse code message on the radio which seemed to reveal the name of every other city hit with a bomb. So in his little secret workshop he had a map of the US up and was pushpinning all the other cities - Atlanta, Chicago (sorry Topher!), San Diego, Philadelphia, and at least 5 others that they didn't show.
