I didn't realize it was the finale but I should've b/c my eyes were glued to the screen. Nancy actually not worming her way out of something? Incredible! I felt bad for pervy old math teacher though; Nancy didn't manipulate him to rob the p.o. but she sure as hell made it clear they needed cash fast. Ah well.

I felt really bad for Silas. I think he would've missed his fam, but he could've made a new life with his new dad, enrolling in college and just not being on the run for a change.

I really enjoyed the first couple eps of Season 1, but the show seems to have totally fallen apart through the rest of the season. It's so badly written and directed, I've started to loathe it. And I've become convinced that MLP, who I previously through was a fantastic actress, can't act for shit. I can't even watch the penultimate two eps of the season.

But clearly, lots of people love it, and those first eps had a lot of promise. What season should I fast forward to, to get back into it at a better place?

Is there another season? The Showtime website says "season finale" but I thought the series was over.

JeanBean, I loved it until the last two seasons. I mostly loved it for the support players like Elizabeth Perkins and her family and Conrad and his family. They were more interesting than Nancy.

I think it got picked up for another season. I'd say it took a turn when they leave Conrad and Agrestic.

I am in the minority but I kind of like Season 3 onwards more than the first two seasons. I probably have announced that before on this thread. I miss Sanjay and Celia though. I hope gangsta Celia with chola eyebrows makes a comeback because I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.

Just watched the finale... Really, they should just end it right there.

I'm not bitter about the show, but I think it's a good ending. Fitting. Going to prison. Perhaps having gangsta Celia as a roomie? Heh. (Although... I can't remember if Celia got out or not. Oh well. Show could put her in prison for something, I'm sure.)

Funniest part of the ep? SHANE'S EARRING. Stop it, Nemo. Just stop.

I am happy about the time jump and Nancy actually doing some time. It's about time that her actions had some consequences.

Loved everything Copenhagen.

Shane is my favorite character, and I hope they don't keep pushing the whole "my mom went to jail for me". Because he would not have been in the position of killing a woman who was essentially threatening to have him killed if not for Nancy's life choices. Also, she didn't go to jail for him, but to save her own hide.

I can understand it is jarring for Nancy to hear Stevie refer to her as "Aunt Nancy", but come on - what was her sister supposed to do? She was left raising a kid whose drug-dealing mother is in jail for murder. How do you explain to a three-year old who has lived with you as long as he can remember that you're not his mother, his real mother is a criminal and she'll be around after her six-seven year sentence is up? But I can see Nancy only caring about herself, not what's best for Stevie. I suspect the gang will be vigilantes and just go get the kid from her. Looking at how well growing up with Nancy has turned out for Silas and Shane, they probably should let him be. Worst. Mom. Ever.

Anyone know if the actor playing Esteban has left the show? His death was a little easy, and I am wondering if it's a hoax of some sort.

I just started watching this streaming on Netflix. I'm almost all the way through Season 3, having marathoned it over the long weekend. I am enjoying it for now.
I had a hard time with Celia the very first 2 episodes of S1...the way she treats her kid reminded me TOO much of my mom and grandmother. Isabel is awesome and handles Celia really well, though, so I got over that.
Oh, and Conrad's ass...holy shit...beautiful!
