I will always love the sight of him in a Red Sox cap. It warms my cold Bostonian heart.

borokat, this made me laugh because I never forgot reading this from the Dooce blog: Full link to blog postTopic: I love seeing them together; they do look pretty happy and normal. Although it makes me jealous that they get such great seats at Fenway! I've never sat that close, damnit.

I was just cruising around Getty and felt the need to bump this thread because dear lord, dude is all kinds of hot again. My friend saw a screening of Hollywoodland in New York and said that he's amazing in the movie and outshines Adrien Brody (she usually can't stand Ben) and from what I've read the film and Ben are getting good reviews. I hope this is the start of his career getting back on track, I can't help it, I like him and I actually think he's got some talent as long as he picks the right film.

Not many reviews yet, but Variety liked him:

Yay. I would like to see Ben succeed at this flick, and I just LOVE Diane Lane.

I've heard really, really great things about this movie, and Ben's performance in it ( and who doesn't love Diane Lane to bits?).I'm so glad he's hot again - I always liked him, and always felt bad for him when he was with J-Lo, like I wished he would just wake up and dump her already so he could find someone nice. And then he did - I really like him and Jennifer Garner together. They seem really happy, and seem to have a very happy life together going on.

Agree India. Lopez always seemed to drag him around like a bargain WalMart purse.

Very true, Brookie - like he was just some accessorie of hers!
You know the other thing I love about him and Jen Garner, seperately? I've noticed a bunch of stars who've hosted SNL whom you wouldn't necessarily think of as "comedy" stars who absolutely ran away with the show, and Jen G. and Ben both fall into that category for me. It always impresses me, like, "Wow, he/she's really funny!", and it always endears them to me after that.

Bennifer the First made me lose a lot of respect for Ben Affleck, but after watching Dogma again, I couldn't help but feel the love come back. It's too bad he's the one who got hit with the worst of the Bennifer backlash and not HoHo, because he's clearly the more talented and appealing one. Not only that, but every account says he's just a damn decent guy all around.

I never understood why Ben got such a bad rap when he was always the FIRST person to take the piss out of himself.
"Mary-Kate and Ashfleck" (or whatever?)
He went on Leno and read the worst of Gigli's reviews! I think he was very aware of how much of a joke J.Lo was making him at the time but knew how to play it.
Oh, and he reminds me of my ex, kinda, so I think he's megahot at times.
