According to Walter Scott's Personality Parade column inParade Magazine (which is basically a Q&A letter thing), BA will be directing a movie in Boston called Gone, Baby, Gone which is based upon a novel by Dennis Lehane. It's about private detectives searching for a kidnapped baby. He also wrote the screenplay for the film. Scott's response to the question concludes with "Wisely, he's chosen not to act in this one."

Give Ben some of the credit and blame. He hasn't ended up 1/2 of two major famewhore couples for no reason and the reason that things might be toned down is because of Garner and not Affleck. I dunno. Affleck isn't the dumb and affiable guy who is ruthlessly manipulated by his evil girlfriends but a well-proven famewhore in his own write who uses his cluelessness as schtick.

With that said, I don't totally hate Affleck or Garner. I liked Affleck in Dogma; i liked Garner in 13 Going on Thirty--i thought she was cute. She bugs me alot less than he does.

Isn't it equally possible that Ben learned his lesson with the whole JLo fiasco and that's part of why they are playing things low keyed?

That's a good point. Mind you, I don't find them to be a particularly offensive couple.

I am just responding to the endless accusations of Garner being called a famewhore. And I think it's problematic to see her termed that way exclusively, especially since it is somewhat misogynistic. Why does Affeck always get off the hook--either with Lopez or Garner. Now I am no fan of Lopez but Affleck bears as much responsibility for their overexposure as she does and any accusations about Garner courting the press should be directed to Affleck as well.

I was skimming this week's Star magazine and they claim that Ben is having cold feet about the marriage. Something about his brother not being married yet having a child too. I don't know but I can see him delaying this marriage until next year.

I don't quite understand the argument that this new Bennifer is "low key". I mean, in what universe? Since they have been dating, they have consistently been on the covers of magazines, and in the magazines every week. They are photographed everywhere because they won't confirm anything such as the engagement and the pregnancy. Even though they don't talk for themselves, everybody else talks for them, therefore keeping them in the news. I don't understand how that is low key.
