I used to tune into Passions once every few months and not miss anything. Theresa was still convinced that she and Ethan were destined (by FATE) to be together and someone was always trying to kill Sheridan. I haven't watched in ages, but expect that things are still pretty much the same. Agreed that Tabitha and Timmy were the best part of the show.

I remember years ago when Theresa was in some accident and a nurse told Ethan that she was dying because she had "lost the will to live", even though there was nothing else medically wrong with her. I thought that was the most BS plot ploy ever...then George Lucas used it in Episode III of Star Wars.

I also remember an engagement party that went on for about a month.

I don't follow the behind-the-scenes dealings of the soap world too closely, but whenever I happen to catch tidbits here and there, they're always about how horrible Jill Farren Phelps is. So why exactly does everyone hate this woman?

Also, is she the one responsible for turning "One Life to Live" into "Pro-Life to Live"?

Swan, this[/color] provides a pretty good summary of JFP's suckitude. I don't follow OLTL, so I'm not familiar with the pro-"life" storyline. I do remember hearing about the unhappiness of that show's fans during her tenure there, though.

The one-two punch of killing off Ryan and Frankie on Another World, combined with turning one of my favorite characters (Paulina) into a spineless whiner, was enough to make me stop watching that show and think of JFP with displeasure ever since.

I can't decide which show-runner is worse: JFP or James E. Reilly (to bring this back sort of on-topic). At least JER's crap is of the completely insane variety, so at least it's amusing.

I see it whenever I visit my mom. She's a total addict. I think she said that one "day" on the show once lasted 35 episodes -- maybe that was the engagement party storyline.

I like how it doesn't take itself super seriously. It admits how absurd a lot of the stories are.

My mother loved Timmy (Josh). She shed lots of tears when he died and still has Soap Opera Digests with him in it. She raves about what a great actress little Endora is, although the episodes I've seen with her, she was just sitting in her high chair and a little lightning bolt came out of her finger.

You people made me start watching this show again!After a 3 year hiatus I now am watching Fucking Passions again. I love how Sci-Fi shows some of the early episodes in the morning. Timmy, original Ethan,batshit crazy jessica good times.

The current Jessica is the worst actress ever, which sucks because they gave her an actual story line. She was on drugs and being pimped out and killing johns and being insane but the actress could not pull off the role. I don't know what it is but Passions has hired the most wooden actors in the history of television.

Isn't the new Jessica the daughter of the guy who appeared on the Marry My Father show a couple summers ago? I remeber there was a big thing about it when she got the part.

That's the new Kay, she's actually pretty good. But that might be because they are putting her with two of the worst actors on the show, Fox and Miguel.
