It doesn't seem like that big of news since this thread was on page seven, but for anyone who watches the show, it's officially been cancelled for a fourth hour of Today. I can't say I'm surprised because of the way that storylines never went anywhere, but I do feel bad for the good actors on the show, like all four of them who now have to find a new steady job.

Plus, with NBC only having one soap now on the air, I expect ABC and CBS to start cancelling their shows that aren't General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and The Bold and the Beautiful with Days of Our Lives probably moving to ABC once NBC makes room for a fifth hour of Today since daytime soap operas keep losing viewers. So I feel badly for all those people who will probably be out of a job in the near future even though I won't miss the poor writing that I think is partly or mostly to blame for why ratings are down.

Anyway, for anyone that still follows Passions any predictions or wishes for how they'll end the show.

I hope Theresa and Gwen finally get over Ethan once and for all, and give into the love that dare not speak its name, or at the very least that Theresa doesn't end up Ethan. I also hope that Sheridan and Luis don't get back together for the umpteenth time. I can't think of any other wishes right now, but as long as those two things don't happen, I'm good. Of course, those two things will happen because of JERK's lousy writing, but until the last date in August, I'm hoping that he goes out with a bang since he's got nothing to lose. I'm sure it will be more of a whimper though.

Not that I watch Passions, but is the universe really clamoring for a fourth hour of "Today?" I realize that it's a financial thing - an hour of infotainment is cheaper to produce than an hour of scripted drama, but still.

ETA - I bet the writers will be really creative in the wrapup, though! ;D

At least there's still a couple more months for them to wrap everything up. I hope the storylines move faster (yeah, like that's going to happen).

Every so often I'll tune into Passions and enjoy the cheese. I liked Charity/Miguel and loathed Gwen/Ethan and am going to miss that crazy show. I don't think the world needs a 4th hour of the Today Show, unless they actually start devoting more than 15 seconds to a story or start running actual news.

I live in Canada so I'm not sure exactly how popular Today is, but isn't four hours of one show a bit much?

I feel bad about the cast and crew losing their jobs, but I'm sure many of them will move on to other shows and have much success; and who knows? A character or two may show up in Salem!
