Gabriel is at the top of my suspect list too. I could just see him morally objecting to Brenda's actions and doing something about it. My other main suspect is Pope, out of professional and personal jealousy (he's carried a torch for her, but she wanted nothing to do with it - and married Fritz - and Pope was the one who brought her in, yet she was up for Chief and he wasn't. I could see him doing things to get her out of the way or at least make sure that she'd never be a professional rival again).

Taylor is my dark horse, but I'm not sure. I would say it is obvious that it isn't Sanchez since he's the one who pulled her aside and basically told her she needs to take the leak seriously. Flynn and Provenza are too jaded to be bothered by Brenda's actions, plus she's saved their butts so many times I can't imagine that they'd pay her back that way. Tao and Buzz just seem to do their jobs and stay out of the office politics as much as possible.

My other reason for listing those guys as the suspects is who has signed up for the spin-off series, and who hasn't. Rumor has it Flynn, Provenza, Buzz, and Sanchez are on board. I haven't heard anything about Tao and Taylor, so I'm not sure about them, and Gabriel and Pope are definitely not signed up.

I think it's Gabriel. He's the only one, whose betrayal would hurt Brenda the most. She wouldn't be surprised by Pope. He's betrayed her plenty of times in service of his career and political favors. Gabriel, OTOH, is her right hand man. She's protected him when he screwed up and he has had her back when she needed it. If he is the leak, it would break her.

I'm excited to hear who is going to the new show. I love Flynn and Provenza. Their yearly fuck-up ep is one of the highlights of the season. Sanchez is a steady presence. As is Buzz. I would be surprised if Taylor went since he would be in line for a promotion when Brenda leaves. I could see Pope in a recurring role, but not a starring role.

I was totally tense this entire episode, too. Everything that's already been said, I have to echo and say that YAY for Fritz! He's so awesome even with his limited screen time during this episode.

I started to think it was Pope, but I think he has a big hate for Goldman in general. I've been tossed between Taylor & Gabriel. Sanchez and Provenza have been getting these constant glances at each other that the camera makes every effort to show and I also think that Flynn just can't stand lawyers in general, let alone enough to help one sabotage the Chief. As for Tao and Buzz? I think their just happy to have their jobs and stay out of everyone's business.

The screen kept saying, "Brenda thought she could trust her team. Who on do you think is the leak?" So, it has to be just those that's part of the team, right? I don't think I can wait until summer for new episodes! And how did I not know about the spin-off? I've always loved Brenda Lee, that I don't know what it would be like without her.

That's one possibility (especially since her father is ill and she may want to be near them). But I also remember Fritz had a shot at a promotion that would require a move.

Just rewatched the most recent episode, and I realized just how crushed I would be if Tao were the leak. To me, the only thing worse would be Fritz.

It's possible it's Pope but I don't see how it could be one of his ex-wives since the leak had information that no one who wasn't part of the core team would know. I think it's either Pope or Gabriel.

TCA panel reveals that all the characters, except Gabriel, Pope, and Brenda Lee are going to Major Crimes. Corey Reynolds & JK Simmons decided their plans didn't include the show, so they've moved on. One of the critics who tweeted said...more money. The producers said it was amicable.

Jon Tenney will guest star, but wouldn't reveal what happens to allow him to do that. Of course.

Thanks for the confirmation. I can live with this cast. Sad that either Pope or Gabriel is the leak though.
