Big Brother is my secret shame. I got RIDICULOUSLY sucked in this year, despite the insane amount of superfluous twists, and this brought some of the most memorable housemates ever. Namely Nikki. Now Nikki really annoyed me when she got to go back in (after being evicted in the fairest eviction of the entire series, but that's another rant) with her downright nasty comments about Aisleyne (who I sincerely adore), but my God was she entertaining! Truly the queen of bitch fits. I honestly think I would had to kill her if I lived with her. I thought her reaction to her first eviction was pretty damn funny (I love how she had to be literally dragged from the house), but on the finale she was freaking bizarre (from 2 minutes in); she looked like an old hermit witch coming into contact with humanity for the first time; and that hair, wtf! That said it's obvious even to the most casual of viewers that she is way too fragile to have been put on the show in the first place- which could be said of far too many housemates this year. Aisleyne was unashamedly my favourite this year, the 'ghetto' speak was a little silly at times but seriously, everyone in certain parts of London speaks that way and I fail to see why it's so unceasingly hilarious. I thought she had a great sense of fun and morals, and was the only one to call Grace for chucking water over Susie to her face. This year has had some great moments. I actually cried like a bitch at Richard's letter (4 minutes in), saddest moment evah! There was a lot of funny moments, too (I LOVE Lea's impression of Aisleyne. Me bredrin!). I HATED Sezer, hated! Richard was pretty funny if patronising. Sigh. I'm going to miss it, but at the same time not. I'm sick of having my summer evenings robbed due to my addiction!

I don't think Aisleyne spoke that Ghetto at all. i think she had a (really nice) South London accent - and that's saying something cos usually it's not one of my fave accents, and was gorgeous in a totally appealing way. I absolutely do NOT get why she was so disliked either inside or outside the house, because although i haven't watched the whole way through, even the clips of her supposedly being 'hard' or 'aggressive' just came off as honest and gutsy and fair. There are claims that she was badly edited, and, as someone who only watched the highlights and never the live shows, and that too only in the last fortnight, all i can say is bloody hell she must have been an absolute diamond then, because even in this apparent bad editing i think she comes across as caring, geunine, and a much cooler and bigger person than the rest of the HMs (altho yes i did like Glyn and Pete, i was really disappointed in Glyn's bitching of Ash to Jennie).
I think it's disgusting that Nikki's bitchy, spoiled, and childish behaviour was condoned both in and out of the house, and i'm SO glad she went in again, becuase she went and undid whatever unfair love she inspired and got her ass booed good! HAH! Do not get what those who booed Aisleyen could possibly have as their reason though. And i'm not asking that rhetorically, but for Aisleyen haters could u give me some examples of incidents where she inspired the hate? What did she say, wot happened?

I caught some of Big Brother UK last summer when I was over. I was surprised how entertaining it was compared to the US version. This summer I caught some clips on youtube and felt deprived! I know I really shouldn't watch it, but hell.
Niki, ohmygawd, what a little kid she is, but entertaining as hell. My favourite, her in the dancing task wailing "I CAWNT GET MY MP3 PLAYER TO WORK!!" Hehehehe. Yeah that Sezer was a shitdisturber, glad he went. Grace, miserable wench. Richard brought the bitch and a Canadian woooo! Glyn came off as a big suck to me, didn't deserve 2nd. Aisleyen turned out to be really sweet and yes, had morals. Pete, he seemed to be the most well adjusted of the bunch and a good hearted person. May be he can sort Niki out.

Ah, I loved Kinga, she was such a silly happy spaz. Are her and Kemal still 'together'?
God the 'fight night' clip reminded me how much I HATED Marco.

Wow. The UK BB is so much more intense that the US. Now I have got to find a way to get those on DVDs that play in the US.

Whilst 'Fight Night' BB5 is probably one of the most notorious BB happenings ever, I reckon Cidergate BB6 gives it a run for it's money entertainment wise ("No no Team Britney, I don't need to hear from you"- OWNED!)- God I hated that Maxwell and Saskia! Makosi, however, was an awesome housemate, so scheming and divaish. I was very disappointed with her reception when she was evicted; she made that series! I still can't believe frigging Anthony won, had Craig not sex pested him in the most cringeworthy and uncomfortable way possible (I still can't get over that night when Anthony got ridiculously drunk in a wetsuit and Craig stripped him of all his clothes, wouldn't let anyone else near him, kept touching him innapropriately and saying that he loved him with Myra Hindley eyes. Had he done that to a woman he would have been booted, stat) I think Eugene would have clinched it. Some other great fights was Richard vs Imogen and Sezer this year- Sezer shouting at Richard for shouting at 'a little defenceless girl' (ie a woman in her mid twenties) is one of the most odious statements ever made on Big Brother. I think the row between Aisleyne and Lisa topped it though- I loved Lisa at first but Grace really brought out the worst in her. And the amount of times the woman swore- by Christ! And who could forget Science versus Craig last year!? Cannot.stop.laughing at Craig -'You don't know what I am or who I am or what I can doo'- Kemal's face says it all. Science was great- 'power to the people!' I'm sure he and Kitten would have loved each other. Sigh. Youtube is truly the tool of the devil. Sadly there are few clips of my favourite series- BB2. Helen and Paul! (who were weirdly very cute- it was like watching an old fashioned courtship between two backward but well meaning teenagers). The fabulously abrupt Narinder! And arguably the most worthy winner and runner up evah! Demons! Bubble, hold me! I miss the days of non ostentatious, multi faceted characters, who didn't have rows every other day and weren't deliberately put in to antagonise each other. God I'm sad. But I don't care- Big Brother is practically the only TV show I watch now- it's like soap and pantomime and character study and comedy in one big endearingly rubbishy package. The only thing that really annoys me about it is the implicit misogyny of the show- mainly on the viewership's part. In seven years a male housemate has never been evicted first. And a glamorous woman will NEVER win BB. Sad really. Though Kate BB3 was a worthy winner IMO.

Even though we don't get this on this side of the pond, I'm totally hooked on all the videos and updates at Oh No They Didn't'.
