Loved it. Seriously, seriously loved it.
"I was in Scottie Pippen's wedding," was the funniest line of the night for me. I have no idea why, but it was so random.
The casting is also genius- I love each and every single person in the cast, and I can't wait to see Rachel playing a different character each week.

I'm excited - they're reairing the pilot and second episode on Bravo, so I don't have to make the Top Model/30 Rock choice. Yay! Oh good! When does it air on Bravo?

I really liked this too. Honestly, they had me right at the beginning when the producer was telling Tina that the network was making them drop the Michael Jackson joke: "Apparently you can't say he has a vagina."
Yeah, I'm easy - I was sold on a cheap CMJ joke.

They had me when Tina says she loves rules and hates cheaters because that's me perfectly (um, as I read pop culture web sites at work). It went so quick!

indygirl - my TiVo has the first two eps on Bravo scheduled for next Thursday at 11.
I love Tina Fey. I love drunken Tina especially.
"I'm not on crack...I'm straight-up mentally ill."
"It's not HBO, it's TV." Priceless.

Count me in on really liking the show. I absolutely hate just about all reality shows and so was looking forward to new sitcoms to give something for my poor Tivo to record besides movies and sports, thank goodness for this show. I have been disappointed in the likes of Til Death (with Ray Ramono's brother), Help Me Help You (Ted is wearing thin fast) although I have been warming up to The Class. I thought Tracy Morgan was about 3x funnier in this episode than he had been on most of SNL. Ha. "I'll have 10 beers!" "All of the White Dudes want to see us fail, ... George Bush , Karl Robe!" "Send me a car." What is your location? "Dark Sensations in the Bronx" Ha !! eveschmeve - the Scottie Pippin's wedding line was extra hilarious in showing just how self centered his character was without having some lame line like - "Everybody look at me" Sadly the only unfunny part was with the very funny Rachel Dratch. The cat bit seemed like too close to a lame SNL sketch of yore. I am sure that she will bring the funny later. I actually liked the stuck up - "Bryant Gumbel like Black guy" if only because he works so well with the "looks like a dumb hick , but is probably pretty smart White guy" in the baseball cap. I have seen the tall skinny white comedian doing the impressions somewhere before... where?
I wonder how Eddie Murphy feels if he had watched Tracy basically play him after he had gotten too big for his britches?

I love how this was followed by some sort of conspiracy theory about how the white dudes are putting AIDS in the chicken nuggets.

Knowing the backstory about Rachel Dratch's on-again, off-again "starring" role made it weird to see her overearnest cat wrangler character, so I hope her other characters will be both weird-good and, well, a bit funnier.
I will say, though, that "would you say that you're 'cat competent'?" is now a fixture in our circle of friends.
I'll admit that I had a liking for this show even before I saw it, since I find Tina Fey so talented and funny and, well, kinda hot. Not hot enough to, y'know, turn, but there it is. And I saw Mean Girls three times in the theatre, so what do I know?

You're not the only one, bstewart. I will say that when I saw Mean Girls, the entire theatre was teen girls and gays. Seriously, if LiLo had played her cards right then and there, she could've been the next Liza.
"That was a metaphor!"
