Well, I found a gem this past weekend; I found a season 1 episode that I must have taped in 2003. It was the episode where McNulty and Bunk only say "fuck" in an entire scene and Omar was on the stairs with Brandon. It really hit me how many of the folks on the corner, that you see in season 1, aren't around by season 5.

Is David Simon trying to make us all hate him? I know that the real world isn't all happy puppys & ice cream, but jeez, there are so few characters left that I like - they've either died or become jerks (and I include Lester in this last group).

What about the previews for next week? Who do you think Michael shoots in the car? Marlo? Chris? Snoop? I think it's Marlo. My boyfriend thinks it's Snoop. We're watching tonight to find out!

Also I hope Gus nails that lying s-o-b reporter and I hope that McNulty gets it too. I didn't want to root against McNulty, even with this guilt he's been feeling, but man he is such an asshole...

For those who sneak ahead on watch The Wire OnDemand, are the going to show the final episode earlier ? I was wondering because last night on watch the new episode and the did not pimp out the fact you can watch new episode of The Wire earlier.

Oh, I still kind of like McNutty. He's good POlice. What I think is interesting is that even though they had over 20 bodies found in the vacants, suddenly if there's a serial killer, suddenly the police get the $$$. I think that's the sad thing about this season.

BTW, I heard that the last episode will NOT air a week earlier, so we all can see it together.

But I heard that on TWoP so who knows if that's true or bullshit.

Oh and Kenard was introduced in an earlier season with a group of little boys who were playing, not Superman, but Omar. Ironic huh?

Ohhhh, I'm so glad I can talk about it now. Yo, that ep was INTENSE. I've said it before: when a character redeems him/herself, there's usually not great stuff that follows.

I normally don't speculate about future episodes, but the way this show goes, I think McNulty gets caught and Carcetti will use him as a sacrificial lamb so that debacle never hits the public. Marlow will either continue on, unchanged, or get taken out by one of his lieutenants. Thoughts?

I think you may be onto something there bklynred. I have avoided spoilers at all costs but I was kind of thinking the same thing.

Have you seen the On Demand episode for next week yet?
