Did they ever finish up the Pretender? I liked that show, and don't remember a good ending. They did a couple of TV movies (that are coming out on DVD in March, IIRC.) I think one of them ties up the loose ends - or maybe both. I didn't watch, but taped the movies to send to my mother, who did watch but didn't get the cable channel the movies were on.

I think one of the Pretender movies raised more questions, and they never answered them with a third. Whoever wrote about Lois & Clark and the baby, I read the writers were planning to have someone steal the baby and raise it to hate Superman, kind of like the Angel storyline.

Re: John Doe, wasn't some magazine or TV critic starting a campaign to find out what was supposed to happen for canceled cult shows? John Doe was the first show he featured, and one of the producers explained one of the major questions associated with the show. I found a link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Doe_%28TV_series%29I wonder if he found out any more answers. I still want to know whether Coop ever made it back from the Black Lodge, though David Lynch will probably bust out another Twin Peaks movie when everybody's a wizened 90 year-old, so I doubt he's giving anything up.

And we can't get Smith online here in Canada. It won't let me download. My only hope is that a) something else will tank on CBS and they'll bring it back or b) it'll come out on DVD soon. I miss my weekly fix of Simon Baker and all the other hotties (less the waxy face of Ray Liotta though).

Pretender did have a TV movie that IIRC cleared up a lot. I got hooked on that show when TNT re ran them.

I found a link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Doe_%28TV_series%29The explanation from the producer sounds like he'd stopped watching the show or something. I saw the episode with Digger being the stocked capped man, but now we find out it was a Digger copy? Huh. And what's with all the deaf people? Did we ever get an answer for that?

I was in love with Smith as well, and it's nice the episodes are on the web, but they don't work on my freaking Mac. I didn't watch John Doe but that's another one that ended before the big reveal. Waitwhathuh? The episodes are online? At CBS.com?

Yeah, I'm still pissed about the cancellation of Reunion. Wasn't a particularly good show, but I really wanted to see everything unfold and the concept was very good. All we needed were 13 more episodes! Fark you, Fox.

Now and Again was a fantastic show that ended on a cliffhanger, and then the show was cancelled. That blew. I think the main character went to the wife's house, and President Palmer showed up to kill them, then the show was over. Boo.

Samurai Jack. Did he ever return to the past? I demand closure!
Thanks to everyone upthread who helped me figure out, finally, what John Doe's deal was.
