I Love New York

Is there anyone who watches this show who has never liked New York? Or really, just couldn't stand her? That is my main reason for being able to avoid this show so far. She bugged S1 of FOL, and S2 I just found her to be superfake and overacting. A lot of people found her fun, but I just never could. I have been able to get over my FOL addiction remarkably fast, so that's only helped me avoid ILNY. But, I don't know how long I will be able to stay away. I think I just might wait til the end of the season when they do a marathon.

So wait, is it a known fact that she got implants? I was trying to figure out from pictures if she was just wearing inserts or something. I recoiled in horror when I saw her natural breasts on the FOL S1 DVD. They reminded me of those Playboy cartoons of old ladies saggy boobs.

Did VH1 not give NY's mom any money for the show? Her wig looks worse than it did on her FOL appearances. That is not an attractive woman.

I saw a small clip from her appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel show last week and her boobs were huge. They were busting out of her top. I've been looking for a picture but I can't find one.

I don't like her and after watching bits and pieces of the first episode I still don't like her. I think New York is somewhat amusing. But only in VERY small doses.

I just don't find this show anywhere near as funny as Flavor of Love. And I know FOL was mostly fake but at least it seemed to have moments of realness. Especially in the first season. But ILNY just seems scripted from beginning to end. New York and her Mom are a bit too over the top for this to be anything but fake. Everything that comes out of their mouths sound fake and neither are very good actors to at least make it sound real. That just kills it for me.

I completely agree. I loved the "New York" character in the context of FoL1. FoL2 showcased some of the worst acting skills outside a Skinamax flick, and this show is rock bottom. Sigh. I had hoped for something better. That said, I'll still watch.

That would be me, and I'm even blogging about the damn show (recap's up, by the way).

During the first episode, I almost started liking her, but now I'm back to thinking her vile. The way she shooed those guys out of the door was just rude and trife. Plus, I totally don't get her standards: 12-Pack? Whiteboy? Really?

I think New York would look less like a tranny if she found a wig/weave of a texture that actually looked like relaxed hair instead of that fake-looking doll hair.
