I searched for a thread and didn't find one so here goes. Seeing as their are so many animal lovers on here, I was wondering if I am the only one addicted to this show.
I also have to say that season three I think will be pretty rough as sadly, Flower has been bitten by a snake and has died. I was in tears driving home yesterday as I loved that feisty little boss lady./spoiler]
Thoughts?

Oh dear. I never read spoilers and then I had read that one. Now I'm truly depressed.
This is actually one tough show to watch. Every time that one brother--Yossarian?--starts dragging pups to the surface in a bid for attention I start freaking out in front of the tv.

It is a tough show to watch, particularly season two but I can't tear myself away. I just love those meerkats so much.
And yes, Yossarian freaks me out too whenever he is left alone to babysit the kids. He is so not right in the head but I think that is because as the producers said, he was dropped on his head as a pup by a bird of prey. Why they trust him with the kids is beyond me but I am just a human applying human logic and emotions to an animal.
I have got to get myself to my local zoo as they have a Meerkat habitat. I am just dying to see them in person. They are just too cute.

Oh man that's sad. I got hooked during a marathon. I wonder what happens to the clan, now.

I love this show! I am totally addicted too. I'm not sure what season I'm on now, but will probably find out after the answer to this question: Was it not Shakespeare who got bitten by the snake and dies? Or does it happen to Flower too? In which case, I second your *sob*

Aw no!
I love Flower. I loved how she kicked ass & came back and took over again after the revolt. Daisy was so lucky. Utterly out of her depth, and wasn't it Mozart who was in charge when Flower got back? And poor Yossarian, thinking that he was going to be Alpha Male with a chance at the spotlight but skulking around on the fringes so Flower wouldn't again suspect what he had been up to. I always end up laughing at him cause he can't catch a break, but then when he does stupid things like bringing the cubs out I almost can't bear it.

Although this show is cute and sad, the anthropomorphizing of rodents really freaks me out.

But technically, I don't think meerkats are rodents. Although I tend to anthropomorphize them too. Just ask the family of squirrels I've adopted at my office lol.

Oh, don't say that about Flower! I just now watched my first one, and she's looking for her lost pups.
Sigh. I'm hooked
