That happened to my husband a few years ago: he was mowing the front lawn and a woman who lived on our block stopped and asked him if he would mow her yard, too. He said, "Sure, when I'm finished with MINE."
She was shocked that a man who looked Hispanic would be living there. Way to keep up with the neighborhood, lady.
This type of thing happens to him all the time. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it happened to both Lopez and Prinze.

Freddie doesn't look Hispanic at all. If one of his neighbors asked him to take out her garbage, it was probably because she saw him reading one of his comic books and thought he was a goofy neighborhood kid who could use some pocket money.
The George Lopez story I totally believe though.

Lopez yes, he looks hispanic. Prinze, looks like a straight up white boy. I don't think anyone with half decent eye sight would assume he was hispanic based on his looks.

He acts like a white boy, too. Nothing wrong with that, but it just doesn't seem like he's too involved in the Hispanic culture.

Nothing wrong with that, but it just doesn't seem like he's too involved in the Hispanic culture. I don't think there's anything wrong with him acknowledging his Hispanic heritage, but he seems to be using it to push the sitcom. It bugs me that he acts like he's breaking a barrier or something, because even if white America is going to be less apt to watch a sitcom starring a Latino, it's going to be a lot easier to get white people to watch you when they don't have a clue that you're Hispanic. I don't think he deserves that credit, and I think he ripped off George Lopez's bit.

I actually think that he looks Latino. Mixed, but you can see the Latino.

From IMDB, so take it with a grain of salt:
Hee! Maybe Smidge went Buffy on him in his sleep.

You know, they are Hispanic, Native, Asian, whatever only at certain times, when it suits them. Annoying...but those people are going to catch on eventually and they are going to turn their backs on him. You can only take so many snubs. Not saying Freddie is like that. But I've never heard him talk about his Hispanic heritage until now.

I actually think that he looks Latino. Mixed, but you can see the Latino. Yeah, he does. On "Chico and the Man" his late father had a very heavy latino accent. I was just a kid then, so I'm not sure if it was affected or not.
