This is one of the reasons I love Parks and Recreation so much: There's a real sweetness to it - especially Leslie (Amy Poehler). Maybe I'm just getting old but I really appreciate that quality (and the show is simply hilarious to me.)
Anyway, topic? I agree that Robin is looking less attractive. I vote for both hair and eyebrows. And no, IDGAF who the mother is.

I agree with the whole NO Robin/Barney sentiment. When Barney was pinning after her it was sweet, but as a couple they were awful. I may be in the minority, but I loved Ted/Robin. And yeah, Colbie/Robin is looking awful this season.

I just watched the new episode. It's like the writers found old Friend's scripts laying around and reworked the Ross and Rachel nonsense. When Friends did it, it was already tired and cliche. Lily and Marshall have been boring for a while, so I have been zoning out on their storyline entirely. At this point, I fully expect them to name their kid after a uniform they find in the janitors closet.
I deleted my season pass. If I'm home and I catch it I will watch but its not worth recording.

After years of being a loyal viewer I am done. I can't with this whole Barney/Robin OTP thing. This show is supposed to be about Ted and he has become a secondary character for God's sake!

HIMYM is becoming more Sienfeld-ish, while Parks and Rec is full of quirky, yet likeable characters.

So were we supposed to feel sorry for either Robin or Barney?
I like Nora, I thought she would have been a better fit with Ted in the beginning. Putting Barney with anyone is a huge mistake, since he's a pretty horrifying character and getting worse. I do agree that the show has, for the last couple of years, had an underlying streak of cruelty to it, which doesn't make for amusing or likeable characters.

Batguy and I were just talking about this last night. HIMYM is becoming more Sienfeld-ish, while Parks and Rec is full of quirky, yet likeable characters. The characters are absolutely getting more Seinfeldish, although I think the joke with Seinfeld was that Seinfeld and crew were never meant to be that likeable. HIMYM seems to think we are still rooting for Ted to find the kid's mother, we want Robin/Barney to find true love, and we care about Marshall and Lily. Speaking of Ted, does he ever make reference to still be married to the children's mother? Cause a bitter divorce seems much more believable. Thats why he is telling the kids how he met their mother - she is so disgusted by him she refuses to ever tell the story. He is trying to make the kids believe there was a time their mother wasn't completely repulsed by him.

I love Parks and Recreation and its sweetness but I also love Its Always Sunny whose characters are absolutely horrible (but funny). HIMYM just seems like it wants to be both. It wants to have its characters be mean and its humor on the edgy side but it also wants to be heartwarming and have viewers invested in its characters happiness. That is a really tricky balance to pull off and HIMYM is just not doing it. I also hate how they have made Kal Penn totally pathetic and not funny. He is usually a naturally lively performer and here he is a dud. But then again he fits in with the rest of the show right now. I think that is HIMYM biggest crime. It just isn't funny anymore.

I had the last episode on mute. So is Robin pregnant for sure? Or does she think she's pregnant?
