Loved that show too! I kinda had a crush on Andy. He had a Kiss poster behind his desk. But what was the deal with Mother Carlson? Was Andy her gigolo?

Andy wore the tightest pants of all time. You're not kidding...I gasped the first time I saw him walk into a scene, looking like a male dancer in tights and a t-shirt.

I think WKRP was somewhat inconsistent, especially in the final season, but the funniest episodes are flat-out hilarious and some of the best writing and acting ever for the small screen. The only weak spot in the cast was the skinny girl, whose name I can't remember. She had zero charisma and I'm not surprised that her career went nowhere. I just made a face, and TrafficChick asked if someone was dissing Bailey.... In the 60's it was "Ginger or Mary Ann?" In the 70's it was "Jennifer or Bailey?" Put me down for Dawn Wells and Jan Smithers.

"Hirsch!!!!!"
God, I loved Mama Carlson.
It was interesting to see what poster was on the inside door of the airroom. Back in '80, it was a poster of U2's Boy. (Yaaay!) Another time it was a picture of Barry Manilow; Dr. Johnny Fever would spin around in his chair and throw darts at it.

I saw a Van Morrison picture on the door once.

Man, this show was hysterical. My two favorite episodes are the Turkey episode and the one where Johnny Fever thinks the phone company is trying to kill him.
I am off to add this show to my Netflix queue.

But what was the deal with Mother Carlson? Was Andy her gigolo? No, but not for lack of effort on Mother Carlson's part.
