I haven't seen this show in ages but this recent photo-shoot for People Magazine is making me all sentimental. Damn, I wish there was something like this on now... considering I'm now the target demographic. However, I watched it when I was twenty-something! Is it in syndication?

They so should've gotten Patricia Kalember too!
thirtysomething was so ahead of its time. The large, photogenic, and talented cast paved the way for Friends. How each episode focused one one main character paved the way for Lost. The music, the yuppiefied look paved the way for Gray's Anatomy and every other ABC drama. The way the characters always talked, talked, and talked some more paved the way for every teen drama on the WB.

Yeah! I'm curious about what she's up to.
I wish they'd rerun thirtysomething more. Bravo had it for a while, but they only cycled through once or twice and then it was gone.
I made the mistake of watching Ken Olin on an old Lifetime movie a while ago. He was an abusive husband who murdered his ex-wife, and I'm sort of creeped out by him now.

I remember watching that show and they all seemed so grown up. I guess when I was 29 I watched a rerun on Bravo thinking I'd be able to identify a little more. No. They still seemed really mature.
I remember I cried when Gary died.

I was in my 20's when this was on.. I'd love to see it now. I wonder what the hold up is with getting it to DVD? Every piece of crap show is on DVD, and for some reason this one still hasn't made it.

For some reason I'm a 22 year old with a crush on Peter Horton, so I'm pretty interested in this show. I've caught clips on Youtube but I wish it were on DVD too.

I remember exactly when they aired the show that Gary died. Right afterwards, my dickwad boyfriend announced that he had a job in Vancouver and was moving away. And then did one of those passive-aggressive "you can come if you want" routines.
Happy ending, though: I did go (ah, the recklessness of youth), met some awesome new friends, got a job, grew a couple and broke off my (later) engagement to him, and stayed in Vancouver.
Anyway, topic: I loved thirtysomething (Mods, the thread title should be changed) too. Remember Melissa's hot young boyfriend? God he was so cute. Trivia -- the actor that played him (Corey Parker) was friends with Patrick Dempsey. Corey's mother Rocky was Dempsey's manager and later-wife.
