The best part of this week's ep was Steve thinking that the Underground Railroad was an actual railroad with trains and tracks. How's the "I hate books" working out for ya, Steve? Hee! That's right! I almost forgot. Everyweek, my hate for Steve grows. He is one of the stupidest, arrogant and pompous jerks on the planet. Hate! "Hey, Steve! We'll get you a conductor's cap from the Underground Railroad for ya!" HA!

HEEEEEE! This was the highlight of the whole episode! The looks on Grant's, Jason's, and Kris's faces were priceless! Really though he doesn't have to read a book to know that the Underground Railroad was not an actual railroad. All he had to do was pay attention in history class to know that!
The only thing that was even remotely interesting was blob in the window that had no heat signature. At first I thought it could be a cat but I would think even on the coldest night a cat would have heat signature.

The first family in the episode was kind of creepy, the footsteps going up the stairs when there was nothing there. Then the thermo camera images in the 2nd investigation. But yeah. Overall, not a lot happening.

Did Jason and Grant purposely send Kris and Tango into the attic (or whatever it was) to have them encounter the bat as a joke? I know they've done that before, and Jason looked so damn gleeful. I'd kill them for that.

I'd kill them for that. I wouldn't be surprised (I did see that part with the bats). It makes me wish they had sent Steve up there - but then again, he probably wouldn't have made it up stairs past the cobwebs. I'm so sad I missed Steve's Underground Railroad moment. That sounds classic. And yeah - if he didn't have his hate-on for books and learning and knowledge, he might not have made that mistake.

Steve's basically just over-compensating cause he's a big scardy-cat, isn't he?

Ok, does anybody remember the episode where the gang visits this home where the couple claim their daughter is being bothered by two fairies which the parents believed were two little girls? The dad said one night he slept in the girls' room because one of the daughters was sick and the suddenly he heard giggling, girl voices asking where his daughter was at, and something jumping on the bed? I think the TAPS had some personal experiences and caught some EVPs. Well, I always thought the couple that owned the home looked kinda familiar. Now I know why!
I was flipping through the channels when I come across A Haunting which airs on Discovery. The couple was featured on A Haunting! I had seen the episode a couple of years ago! And man they either (a) did not tell TAPs a lot or (b) told them but it was edited out. One thing they don't mention is the daughter became convinced that a fire once taken place on the property but they find no record of it. Well, later on the family removes this tree because it gives them the creeps and while digging it out they discover burned out brick foundation and burned clothes. Another thing is that the mom finds old photos in the attic. In one of the photos there are identical twin girls. The daughter identifies these girls as her nighttime playmates. Also, the family called in some wiccan group, whose members dress like they are auditioning for a part in Twilight, to investigate the home after the mom unsuccessful in ridding the home of spirits with some ceremony she finds online. In classic A Haunting style the group claims the house is filled with evil spirits out to get the family and they perform some ceremony. And the family then lives happily ever after... you know until they call TAPS two or three years later and act like they don't know what is going on. The big thing I noticed is that in A Haunting the fear factor was really played up. When they appear on TAPS the couple appear to be a little freaked out but otherwise keeping it together.

It does seem that there are some people out there who have turned their haunted house into a lucrative business. It's like that one gal from Ghost Hunters International who also showed up on Paranormal State.
