Greecies, I had no idea either (about the nastiness). I have seen and heard things people do to each other that makes my mouth drop open. (and I was in the acting biz at one time!) WE have one woman who is in a rival group putting spells on us..LOL. Another woman is so obsessed with besting us, she creates similar websites and reads our site and tried to steal our cases. It's amazing. I often ask people why it is like this, and no one really knows. Some feel the type of person who is attracted to this side of life may have something to do with it. I'm really not sure.
It's a frequent topic. I was supposed to meet up with Jason and Grant with our crew a few weeks ago but our director was sick.Short of working for an animal shelter, this can really make one jaded with human-kind. lol

People drawn to the paranormal enough to want to investigate it in a group setting would naturally be quite suspicious, I think. Even paranoid. (Paranoia helps one stay open to any and all investigative possibilities, natch.) Suspicious and paranoid people can get jealous, petty, bitchy and psychotic hypercompetitive more easily than others, I think.

Grant addresses both "The Statue" on last week's episode and a little about how much control the editors at Sci Fi have.... Grant's Blog

From Grant's MySpace:
I love Grant. LoveLoveLove.
But to catch up, I think that Brian did have moments of "screw ups", but a lot was creative editing. Personally, I think that Steve is a total ass and acts so high and mighty, that when he screw up (a lot more than he'd like to think), it either goes unnoticed or simply is give a slap on the wrist. HATE!
With his flying issues, is that why they drive so much? Or do they drive anyway because of all their equipment? That makes for a serious long haul.

Yesterday I was contacting a bunch of historic sites around me for investigations, and apparently stepped into some other group's "territory" and the shit is hitting the fan. *sigh*

Spiderella, ITA about Steve. There are lots of times when my fingers just itch to slap him. I consider myself to be quite flexible in the workplace and a team player and all that, but I could never work in close quarters with a guy like Steve. Not without killing him. (I will add though that I think the group's efforts to support Steve WRT his flying phobia are totally sweet.)

I haven't gotten that vibe from Steve and now I'm sincerely curious... what am I missing?

I haven't gotten that vibe from Steve and now I'm sincerely curious... what am I missing? I haven't either. I've seen him be a goofball and I got the impression from watching past seasons that he didn't like Brian much at all. Of the two? I definitely prefer Steve.

Ever since they investigated that library and Steve and Brian had that conversation about reading, I've had a lot less respect for Steve. Brian was all excited about being in a library, and Steve basically said that reading is stupid and boring.

Me too. And he is easy on the eyes (such a cutie! His wife is so lucky -- he plays the piano and speaks fluent Italian, apparently. Yum).
Yeah, I get the impression Steve never liked Brian, which cracked me up. I like Steve -- he seems somewhat arrogant, but I like him. His voice when he explains things -- either to Kris or in talking heads -- is so soothing. It could put me to sleep.
But for a guy with a big Exorcist tattoo on his arm, he sure is a 'fraidy cat. Spiders, heights -- he freaks the hell out. I was so sad for him when he couldn't work up on the nerve to get on the plane to Ireland. He's always saying, "Ghosts are the one thing I'm not afraid of," and I think it's true. It's got to suck to have debilitating fear like that. He missed out on seeing the AWESOME ghost in the lighthouse last season. You could hear it answering them and even see its hand on the railing and its head when it peered down to look at them. Then they went up there -- nothing. And Steve didn't really get to see any of it, although to his credit, he took his disappointment in stride and was really happy for the guys who did get to see it. It sucks -- he must have been waiting years for a personal experience like that. Poor guy.
