I had a hunch Todd would be bad news for them but I didn't think it would happen this quickly. They've got Mike the Cleaner nearby but can his powers overcome a kid shot dead in the desert? Someone's going to be looking for this boy. They've got dirt bike tracks. They've got blood spray all over the place and you can't take care of the desert with a bucket of bleach. And right next to this crime scene that even a rookie deputy will find within days is their methylamine tank.

That ending was so jarring, that poor kid.
The scene with Hank and the baby was so sweet and pretty much says that Holly is going to be perfectly fine if anything happens to Walt and Skylar. Walt Jr./ Finn/Emo Boy, is another story.

Yikes. You think it is a silly little heist episode, then the end. It was awful when Jesse screamed no. He's gonna carry a lot of guilt over that since he was the one who told him there absolutely could not be any witnesses.
Holly did look quite comfy with Hank and Marie. I'm still thinking Skyler will turn herself in- maybe for the Ted related stuff - once she believes the kids are safe from Walt.

Oh man, I almost need a neck brace for the serious mood whiplash at the end of this episode. I'm thinking the little boy's murder will be the catalyst that leads to the end.

I agree - the kid, I think, will at least be the beginning of the end for Jesse. He can't stand the guilt anyway, and he has a huge soft spot for kids. I think we see how all the players surrounding Walt are starting to fray. And then Hank is getting sharper (despite his inability to be around emotional people and he ran out so Walt could plant the bugs) and he will start to piece it together.

In the cold opening when the kid was putting the tarantula in the jar you could just hear the train whistle before it went to credits. And I still did not see the ending coming.
Agree that everyone around Walt is starting to come apart. It is just a matter of who ends up snapping first, Mike, Jesse, Saul, Skyler, Lydia. I think putting the bug in Hank's photo is going to be Walt's downfall. Hank is going to find it and he is going to remember Walt holding it. He won't be able to ignore all the little signs anymore and he will start to piece it together. I can't wait for Hank to figure it all out, it should lead to some really good drama. I can't believe there are only 3 more episodes for this season. I do not like these shortened seasons.

Only three more episodes? But it feels like it is just starting! Was Walt wearing gloves when he planted the bug in Hank's photo?

Poor Jesse. Walt knows how to play him like a fiddle. He wants out, so Walt invites him over to tell him how he got screwed out of billions with Gray Matter, that his wife hates him and wants him to die from cancer and took his kids away from him, and the meth business is the only thing he has left. Of course Jesse isn't going to abandon him after that. And that dinner was so wonderful and awful.
Marie wants to keep Holly so bad. She will probably get her wish.
