Seriously, he's been one of the few people that actually know what they're doing on this show. I mean really, he's been working with criminals for how long? Dude knows what he's talking about.
I really hope Gus and Mike don't die. They're both far too awesome.

Holy hell, what a fabulous episode. So much of this season echoes what has happened in previous seasons--poisoning the big boss, the exploration of what it means to have and lose partners, the nature of fatherhood.. All good stuff in the layer cake that is Breaking Bad.
Sometimes I do get this niggling sense that the problems between Walt & Jesse could be resolved with an honest heart-to-heart. I can overlook this, though, because the cycle of Walt & Jesse breaking and making up are the emotional backbone of the show. To that end, Bryan Cranston & RJ Mitte were mesmerizing in their scenes this week.
I LOL'ed when Skylar pulled her own version of "I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS" with her ex-boytoy this week.

Just an UNBELIEVABLE episode. One of, if not, the best.

That last shot with Walt laughing hysterically as the camera pulls up and away from the crawl space...it was amazing.

Has anyone mentioned the large amount of purple in some of the episodes? Tonight it was everywhere. At Hank & Marie's house the bedsheets, rugs, curtains, even some of the books. Saul was wearing a purple shirt. The two men sent to make sure the IRS got their check were both wearing purple shirts when they were in Saul's office. Lots of purple. What does it mean? Usually I've seen Marie have a lot of purple around here but it seems to have spread.
Great stuff happening in the last few episodes. I re-watched the previous episode last night, the one with the mass killing of Eladio and his men. As Jesse, Mike and Gus were getting ready to leave, just after Jesse puts Gus in the car, it looks as if Mike had his gun pointed at the back of Jesse's head just before getting shot. Was that the original plan or did I just see something that wasn't there? There was so much happening.

Was that the original plan or did I just see something that wasn't there? There was so much happening. I missed that but I have heard other people point that out. It does make sense in a way that Gus would have a plan B that does not involve Walt or Jesse. He may prefer Jesse to Walt but I am sure he would want one of his own men to be the cook in the long run. It wouldn't surprise me if he was grooming someone else that Walt or Jesse did not know about. That whole thing with Ted was like something out of of a Coen brothers movie. I would totally watch a spinoff of Saul and his A-team. That last scene was insane. I have no idea how they are going to get Walt out of this mess. Is there one or two episodes left? Even though they have made Walt completely unlikeable this season I want him to start kicking ass again. It seems like all he has done this season is get beaten up and humiliated. Which is mostly due to his own hubris but still. He needs to put on his porkpie hat and start acting like the badass he was in the last few episodes of Season 3.

Thanks. For some reason I never get the promos for the next episode. Not sure if it is a Canadian thing.

I had stress dreams last night which I'm sure were related to watching the new episode of Breaking Bad just before bed. I have no clue how they are going to end this season. I don't think there will be any miracles for Walt. He's in too deep, on so many fronts. Maybe he'll turn himself into the police and spend the final season rotting in jail and dying of lung cancer. Seriously, I wouldn't put it past this show.
The destruction of the Walt/Jesse friendship has totally gutted me, though. Jesse's parting line about the last time he asked Walt for help was so gut-wrenching and true.
