Is anyone watching? They had a two-hour premiere on last night. Lots of sentimental value for me. I could've sworn Will Arnett was going to be the voice of KITT, but IMDB has Val Kilmer listed. If that's the case, I think Arnett would've been a better choice.
Slow in some points, but I'll definitely see where this goes. The theme song along brought me back about 20 years.

Arnett couldn't do the voice because of his contract with GM. I didn't mind Val. I thought he was more in vein of William Daniels.
I enjoyed it. It got good ratings, which is what NBC needs. It'll go to series.
The lead, Justin B, needs to work on his acting. KITT had more spark with the scientist's daughter.

I agree re: Justin's acting. I couldn't totally buy his 'savvy' and smarts as an ex-Ranger. A goofy mercenary, maybe. The scene w/ him and Hasselhoff was cool, though. I agree, it'll definitely help ratings.

If they improve the acting, this could be cheesy fun. Also - if they get rid of the creepy commericals where a jealous KITT stalks Mike while he's out on a date.
I didn't mind Kilmer's voice work (I wonder if he'll do it if/when it goes to series). I kinda wish we got Will Arnett, but I must admit that if Arnett had done the voice I would always expect KITT to end all of his sentences with "With club sauce!"

I think it had potential. The acting was very bad, but it was cheesy fun. Very much a throwback to the '80s Stephen J. Cannell-type action tv shows. I will venture to say that it has one of the best theme songs ever.
The show had good nostalgic value though I wish it had been Arnett who did the voice. But I think everything that came out of Kitt's mouth (?) would have sounded sarcastic.
(I'm laughing at the "with club sauce!" Hee)

We are talking about Knight Rider the tv movie right? I am going to assume they are now going to make it into a series?
I watched it online at nbc.com only because I loved Knight Rider so much as a kid. I am sorry y'all, but in my opinion, this new Knight Rider is completely snarkilious!!! The stupid plot, the bad acting and not to mention the superfake looking CGI. The car itself, Kitt, is kind of lame. I thought the whole movie was a giant commercial for Ford. Practically every car in the movie was a Ford.
The crazy collision in the end. Um yeah, I know it's a tv show, but the laws of physics still need to be applied. And the father sitting in the back seat is completely unharmed after a head on collision. (lol).
I am torn, that Justin guy is not cute enough for me to continue watching, but if we are going to snark about this show I will.

Yeah, I think this will be at most cheesy fun (and snark material) but I am all for cheesy brain candy as long as it is done well.
If there is something better on at the same time as this show in the fall (and they totally are going to turn it into a series), this one will definitely get tossed aside. But for those "there's nothing else on" nights, this will be entertaining enough.
But I do hope the series is a little less of a Ford commerical. Ford must have a mega deal with NBC/Universal - I was watching a show on USA and every single car on the show was a Ford on that one too.

Yes! I noticed that too, so many fast car commercials. I'm not a driver so I blanked out for every one.
