Oh MAN. I was listening to the Kidz Bop 8 snippits over on Amazon. The covers of Vertigo and Boulevard of Broken Dreams are a special kind of awful.

I was at the temporary Halloween superstore a couple months ago and the music was just awful: soulless covers of pop and Halloween novelty songs. When I was checking out, a light bulb went on in my head and I asked, "Is this... is this Kidz Bop?" The clerk nodded with the haunted eyes of someone who has withstood too much and can see her breaking point from here. I offered her my condolences and got the hell out of there.

The Kidz Bop 11 commercial made me snap my head up and stare, if only because they quote Spinal Tap. "This one goes up to eleven!"
