Any song that has fingersnapping in it drives me up the wall. I never was bothered by it before, but all of a sudden about a month or two ago I decided that the sound of fingers snapping in a song was absolute torture and should be avoided at all costs.

Emiliana Torrini's "Jungle Drum". It's used in the trailers for some new telenovela, which is repeated oh, 50 million times a day. Just, gah.

I'm listening to iheartradio on my ipod (largely to drown out the loud chatter outside my office door) and I had the displeasure of hearing "I'm in Diego Trick" by LMFAO. Is this song for real?
ETA: Also on this station's rotation: "Don't Trust Me" by a group called 3Oh!3. I wish I were joking about the band's name. The lyrics contain the ever-poetic:
Hush girl, shut your lips. Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips.
This makes me incredibly sad for the future of music. And yes, I am changing the station immediately.

I always take the opportunity to let my young sons know that if they ever tried speak to a "real" girl like they they'll probably end up getting punched in the face.
ETA: Then I switch the station.

Man, this song's been filling me with rage for months now, it's all about not trusting 'hoes' and the like.

Oh lord, I heard that Helen Keller song in a Subway and thought it was a joke. It has since followed me everywhere!!! I HATE IT. That song is in heavy rotation on the Sirius satelite station that they play all the time at the gym I work out at. I couldn't tell you what any of the other lyrics are but it never fails - I always hear the "Hush girl...etc.," part. It makes me cringe like fingernails on a chalkboard. I hate it. That being said, my mother probably thought the same thing when "Mama's got a squeezebox, Daddy doesn't sleep at night" would come on the radio back in the day....

For an instant I thought, "How nice, a song that references Helen Keller, even though she was both blind and deaf." Then I googled the lyrics.
Please, stupid people, fall back into the primordial ooze.

Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks That Song is massively offensive. I have to change the station when it comes on so I don't get a migraine (I'm allergic to bigotry).
