I'll admit it... I had a mancrush on the one in the middle when I was putting those albums out in the record department for which I worked when it came out. I would've eaten sand before actually listening to it, though.

That reminds me, bstewart... I was at Amoeba Records not too long ago, and they had a montage of those Whipped Cream Album Covers, like the one you had as your avatar not too long ago. I was very pleased to be able to pick out the original amongst them. It was a landmark cultural experience.

Holy crap! My former Dirty Secret Boyfriend! I'm delighted to know that protests from the band resulted in the Bush campaign dropping "Still the One" as their theme song. Essentially, Bush and Co. were illegally using the song. I know, hard to believe that a President as honourable as Bush would break the law. Back on topic, "Mother, I am a Christian Homosexual". Catchy title, alluring cover... how could that one not be a top seller?

Re: the Orleans album. No, I haven't listened to it...I didn't have a turn table until a few months ago, and I refused to chirsten it with Awake and Dreaming. One of the members lives in Orlando now. I was always hoping I'd run into him at one of the record shops so I could ask him..."So, that cover. Who thought that one up and who were you trying to appeal to?"
