I know Zara must be OK with the way he looks (she's a better woman than me), but I'd find it curious if his behaviour was known before the marriage. Otherwise, why wouldn't the Royal Family discourage her from marrying him? Unless the Queen figured the Family has weather enough scandal over the years and a bit more wouldn't hurt much.

Maybe Tindall thought that if he did his questionable behavior overseas, he'd be safe? If so, perhaps he thought that so long as he kept his nose clean (so to speak) in the UK, that he could let loose while traveling. Now that he's married, the media is paying more attention and limiting his extracurricular activities so that even when he's halfway around the world, he can't hide.

As for the breathing--he must breathe through his mouth. I don't see any other way--the bridge of his nose is in a damn zig zag pattern.
