Writing to those Hens at the View will get you no where they have guest on there all the time who do this. the last one I saw before was that lady Dr. on the Saprano talking about Fizer (sp?) or Zoloft somthing like that the whole thing is so dumb.

Maybe it was my imagination, but I think The Hens looked very uncomfortable during Brittany's spiel. I've seen guests discuss their endorsements before under some premise of it being an issue-related discussion (like anti-depressants or hormone replacement therapy), but this was just a blatant commercial. Brittany was like, "Now Crest Strips last an amazing 18 months!" It was an embarassment for everyone involved, which is really saying something. (And I e-mailed Bill Geddie rather than one of The Hens...I don't know whether that makes a difference.)

Ok, I just watched today's View, and may I just say, what the f?? Brittany seemed like she couldn't finish a sentence without gasping for air, like she had emphysema or terrible asthma or something. Then, of course, there was the meth addict-esque rambling and giggling ...wowza

I don't really hate on her, per se. But she really bugs.
Like, for a while there was talk of her putting out an album (*eyes roll*).
And, just before Sin City came out, F/X was doing a promo night on the movie, with interviews and the like. And here is Ms. Murphy saying that her character ties the characters in the stories together. Riiiight, like the main, overarching antagonists had nothing to do with it.
Just bugs is all.
ETA: Because I just don't know how to spoiler with white text.

No kidding. Hollywood will be the first to say 'well, that's what Joe Flyovercountry likes' but the reality of this is that Hollywood has some serious problems about racist denial. Yeah, maybe some people like uberblonde beauty conformists, but you never seen someone powerful in Hollywood saying 'to hell with this, why not show some brunette/raven haired or possibly NON-WHITE' hotties in our film?' Notice how they'll never answer that question. Sad how such an 'enlightened' part of America still stinks to high hell of that bigotry....no, wait a minute, it's still the rich and powerful who still set the rules. What was I thinking. *groan* Same for men. Sure, we get a pass on the age thing to a certain extent--there's what I call the Jack Nicholson Point--but all around American culture is very vicious in how it justifies itself to itself by still sticking to the American Dream. You know, everybody must be a loner, hence when successful you have nobody to blame but yourself and yet this sets you ahead of everybody, meaning of course that everybody that isn't you is a pathetic achieveless sack of crap. Odd how that ideology of freedom is easily perverted into something very different and used against everybody else. Quite sickening. It died with the studio system in exchange for a system in which 'relevant' movies could be made featuring more realistic people. Laugh at the irony.

I didn't fully notice how teeny tiny Brittany was until I saw this pic of her with some young fans. She's actually smaller than these preteen girls. Yeesh.

Oooh awesome shoes in that shot with the teen fans!
As for the Crest Whitestrips thing - wtf?! They must have paid her a chunk of change.

I know I'm majorly in the minority here, but I love her. As an actress, at least. When she's not doing ridiculous movies like Little Black Book and Uptown Girls, she is ON, IMO. I thought her performance in Girl, Interrupted was amazing, as well as, to lesser degrees, Spun and Riding in Cars with Boys. She really needs to fire the fuck out of her agent, and get someone who will get her dramatic roles, because that's when she really shines as an actress.
As far as in interviews and stuff? I haven't really seen her.

I though Maxim only had women considered to be sexy on the cover. She looks like a boy in a wig.
