It would take some skill and effort to have any kind of sex with the body of a Simon Monjack. It's not one of those things that could have just sorta happened naturally as they were laying in bed. So I'm going to give Sharon the benefit of the doubt and assume she was too tired/drugged out/depressed to do all the bending over and what not that would have been required.

What a mess...

The official cause of death was community acquired bronchopneumonia. Other conditions contributing but not related to the immediate cause of death included cardiomegaly with focal myocardial fibrosis.

According to the report, an oxygen tank was found near the bed in the master bedroom along with inhalers and prescription medication bottles—some made out in Monjack’s name, others in the name “Trevor Williams,” “Sharon Murphy,” and “Sharon Monjack.” Sharon Murphy is the mother of Brittany Murphy, Monjack’s deceased wife.

According to the Toxicology Laboratory Summary Report, Monjack had the following in his system: Cialopram (Celexa®), Duloxetine (Cymbalta®), and Trazodone (Desyrel®), all antidepressants; Diazepam (Valium®) and Lorazepam (Ativan®), both anti-anxiety agents; Hydrocodone (Vicodin®), Pregabalin (Lyrica®) and Actetaminophen (Tylenol®), all analgesics; and Propranolol (Inderal®), an antihypertensive agent.

"All of these drugs were detected at therapeutic or sub-therapeutic levels and most likely did not contribute to Mr. Monjack's death," the report said.

What a terrible prescription drug culture we live in. All three of them were likely zonked out of their minds all the time.

It seems strange to me that no one in the press or medical community has mentioned the fact that at least 3 of those drugs depress the respiratory and nervous system, valium, ativan and vicodin. And taken together, with everything else? You could have a common cold and your brain would forget to tell you how to breathe.

I'm started to get a grossed out feeling that IF a medical reason can be made to fit for cause of death, that's what will be labeled as the cause. Anything to keep the blame away from the prescription drug companies.

That's what they give you when you are dying under hospice care - a good shot of morphine combined with the ativan you are probably already taking ( to calm the anxiety ) and you just pass away, forgetting to breath but not really caring.

The half-life of some drugs is extremely long (days, weeks, even months in some cases.) He may have taken some of those drugs long before his death and their presence would still be detectable even though they were no longer affecting his respiration or anything else. I don't think the coroner and toxicologist would fudge his cause of death.

What a tangled, weird little web they were weaving in that house.

Even if those drugs weren't the cause of death, it can't be good to be on half a pharmacy's worth of drugs. And the fact that they were under different names suggests things weren't exactly on the up and up.

I now I should't be, but I am amazed at how irresponsible these doctors are.

Would not surprise me either. Simon and Sharon always had this creepy, icky vibe when they appeared together on talk shows. I suspected even back then they were sleeping together and maybe even when Brittany was alive. Ewww..ewww and ewww, talk about lack of bounderies. If this is true, I wonder if Brittany was aware this was happening or if she even okay with it. This whole situation is/was just so
bizarre.
